We have been staying at Hyde Cottage for several years now. Being a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) we stay in the beautiful and bright Corfe Room. Angie and her family are so welcoming and they go above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We arrive and depart feeling very special. Angie’s continued thoughtfulness and kindness really adds the personal touch. The children are so excited and look forward to the marvellous breakfasts as we do and on our last visit at the beginning of the month my daughter enjoyed helping Angie collect Eggs from the Chickens. Dorset is such a wonderful and beautiful place to explore and staying at Hyde Cottage really does make our visit that extra special (in fact my children refuse to stay anywhere else)!

On the isle of Purbeck near the wonderful R.S.P.B. Reserve of Arne, Studland Nature reserve and Shell Bay, Corfe Castle and village, the lovely nearby towns of Wareham and Swanage, and the haven of The Blue Pool, Hyde Cottage is perfectly located in this glorious corner of Dorset. The room was very comfortable and spacious with full facilties and the rarity of a delicious breakfast. There's a lovely peaceful garden. I have stayed in many B & Bs and hotels but Hyde Cottage scores full marks for comfort and the welcome I received.

Clearly the review below is mistaken !?!|Secondly Hyde Cottage is , as many authentic visitors have reviewed, a most outstanding B&B. |The owner Angie and family are most welcoming and genuine hosts. |Angie clearly puts her heart and soul into her business, which is reflected throughout, VERY clean and IMMACULATE premises. |5 star food hygiene rating , with impressive breakfast and delicious homemade scones as an afternoon treat! |Angie is very knowledgeable of the local area and pointed us to some great places and pubs ! |Please ignore the negative review , it doesn’t even appear true. |I would thoroughly recommend this hidden gem in the Isle of Purbeck !

We stayed in Corfe for our 5 days (5-10 June 23) as regular visitors each year. Angie welcomes you with scones and afternoon tea on the first afternoon in the front seating area on arrival. Escorted to our rooms. Clean, tidy,well maintained, and hygienic. Free wifi, tv and plenty of drinks ,fridge in the room well stocked with milk and water. As i have health issues it is a comfort to know that any dietary request will be accepted. Friendly helpful assistance at all times. Menu is substantial and any variation can be accommodated with a smile. They have sika deer that visit the grounds as well as a cuckoo that can be heard. On the whole a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay. Well worth a visit and i am sure you too will become a regular visitor.||Date of experience: 05 June 2023

What can I say? Having stayed here twice now, you will not find a better BnB than this.|We were recommended Hyde Cottage by a friend and it did not disappoint in any way. Angie puts so much care and attention to everything and will try her best to fulfil any request. The rooms are stunning and the peaceful atmosphere is exactly what you would expect.|I cannot recommend this place, highly enough.|I only wish we could stay for longer than a weekend. 🙂

We always stay here when in Dorset as we have been very satisfied with everything about this B&B. The friendliness of the owners, the quality of the the rooms and breakfast as well as the setting and access to beautiful areas of Purbeck. We wish we could take this B&B to other areas of the country as it is better than all the others we have regularly stayed in.

We enjoyed our stay here and wished we had stayed for more days. Angie is a perfect host. She can offer very good advice where to visit around here. She is thoughtful and will cook up delicious breakfast for us. She makes nice scones and tea as well. The place is quiet, which is good for a peaceful rest after long days out. Yet it is accessible to Wareham where you can get your lunch and dinner. The gorgeous beaches and coastline are quite near. Highly recommended.

From the moment we saw Hyde Cottage we knew it was going to be special. The room was serene & full of light yet homely & inviting & the bed was extremely comfortable. From our windows we saw countless birds & some visiting sika deer, & we even had the pleasure of meeting Dora the chicken as we sat enjoying an evening drink in the garden. The breakfasts were delicious and Angie is very eager to accommodate any specific dietary requirements. Our only regret was that our stay was way too short but we will most definitely rectify this as soon as we can.
Hyde Cottage is one of those wonderful discoveries where you arrive as guests but leave as friends. Thank you Angie for sharing your beautiful home with us and supplying a much needed sanctuary after a difficult time. We will most definitely return. Naomi & Adrian x
