Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, nestled in China Town surrounded by amenities and only a short walk from New Street Station, Digbeth Coach Station, the O2 venues, and further up is Victoria Square. China Town is bustling which might resonate to the front rooms at night, but we had no issues accommodated around the back. The breakfast was good value with a decent selection of classic English breakfast food choices of food and drinks which were complemented by tea/coffee/milk in the room, however there could have been better meat-alternatives for vegetarians. The building does feel slightly dated, especially in the rooms, but most importantly the rooms were clean and soap and towels were provided. There was also a good selection of channels on the TV but it was again a dated set. All in all, it was standard - it met basic expectations and offered reasonable value for the price (£117 1 night for two) and location, but it did feel dated and used.

Just up from Birmingham new street this hotel is tucked away in the Chinese quarter. Clean and welcoming - the room was fine for a single person overnight visit. Breakfast was good value and I enjoyed the choice available. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Would use again.

Location is excellent. Right in the centre of Birmingham , next to Chinatown. Easy to access by car from the motorway network. Parking below the building but tricky to enter. Great value for £15 for 24 hours. The hotel is tidy enough with the usual small rooms typical for any city centre hotel. Room facilities (we had a second floor room window view of the roof tops it was quiet). A small desk and chair was provided with a wall mounted TV, although the desk could do with being upgraded as it was chipped. There were also tea and instant coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable.|The downstairs communal area is nice with a few wall mounted TVs, nice bar, pool and games tables. |Breakfast is in the relaxation/bar area and was great. A cold meat/cheese offering with croissant etc together with a full cooked breakfast with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs (other eggs cooked to your order too), mushrooms, cooked tomatoes, baked beans and some hash browns in the corner too. Plenty of juices, tea and a ground coffee machine provided more beverages. Good value and whilst there, we booked another stay for later in the year👍 Radu helped us with breakfast in the morning which was helpful||Read less||

First time staying here. Fantastic budget hotel. Staff were wonderful and very helpful and attentive. Stayed in room 305. Nice little room. Says a double bed but husband and I are both plus size and could fit another person in the middle. No complains with the mattress or pillows, but i do like them firm.
Only 3 downsides with the room is it had a very small bathroom. Very cramped. if you like your space worth putting in a request. Not good if you have claustrophobia.
The shower wasn't great probably needs a new one. the water pressure wasn't that good and the thermostat wasn't working very well. Started icy cold, then went to red hot. (Quite dangerous as it could burn someone). Tried to adjust temperature but didn't really change no matter what I did.
There is a temperature unit right behind bathroom door and can't open the door properly. If possible would be worth moving that unit under the desk out the way.
Breakfast was a small selection of help yourself buffet. For budget its perfect, staff wonderful and saw others putting in breakfast requests staff always delivered where possible. Small selection but cooked perfectly.
Only con, and very simple in my opinion, needs a bucket of Ice by the breakfast drinks, nothing worse than warm juice and water. Also for an extra £10 they offer a late check-out. So gives you until 4pm to take your time to get ready.
Will definitely stay there again and would 100% recommended it if you need a bed for a night or 2.
p.s Scrambled eggs were lovely and cooked perfectly.

In the vibrant China town. A stones distance from the main train station. Perfect location.
Reception desk awesome. Very polite staff. Room very good for the price. No complaints here.
Food selection at the breakfast buffet good. Could do with more variety of cut fruits and salads.
Ingrid at breakfast service was phenomenal! An unbeatable combination of efficiency and warmth. You are a star dear Ingrid! You do this hotel proud!

Stayed Friday even March with my daughter. We were going to see show at hippodrome. Perfect place as hotel is 2 minute walk from theatre. You are spoilt for choice with number and choice of restaurants few minute walk away. The staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had all you need. Bed was comfy. Big of noise from corridors the doors tend to slam but other than that it was quiet considering you are city centre. Hotel has parking for £15 for 24 hr. Warning car park is underground and very tight. If you have a large car you will struggle. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of choice and good food. Great stay for short city trip.
