We stayed a night to extend our stay in Somerset. They welcomed my dog and even gave me a treat bag for her. The service was excellent especially from.Olivia on reception Alicia and Freya in the bar and restaurant.

The three course meal deal was delicious.

The inclusive breakfast was full and good quality. My husband had the scrambled eggs and bacon. I had the cheese, ham , berries and yoghurt.

Our room was spacious, air conditioned, quiet and comfortable. My dog loved the wet room and slept there all night.

The staff coped well with an emergency whilst we were there as the fire services we're called to persons trapped in the lift.

The only downer was that when showering the water runs across the floor to the toilet floor.

The hotel is conveniently located near junction 23 of the M5. When booking online the Ibis does come across as very good value for money. Be aware…There is an additional charge for parking where as most hotels have this in the price, especially when no where else to park, so it’s a shame they don’t just include this in the booking price. ||We took our dog which was good, but another addition of £15 per night per pet was a lot. In my opinion this should be added to the website booking rather than tell people when they arrive. The pet and the parking is £24 per night, from a captive audience that have already arrived and made plans. We did get a treat bag for the dog on checking in though which was sweet.||Rooms are modern and comfortable. There is a bar and restaurant on site which are both nice and food was good. ||I have stayed in other hotels which class themselves as dog friendly which include dog bowls and food in the room for no extra cost. ||Overall a little bit disappointing as there were other hotels nearby that include parking and allowed dogs at no extra charge. It could have been clearer when booking online the website.

The hotel is excellent however the customer care could be improved. Some staff seem overworked and tired. We stayed two nights and some parts of room not cleaned properly or things like tea bags not replenished.|When you get the invoice at end of your stay it is not itemised properly so you can check it. They charged me for a ginger beer which we did not have. We had a different drink so you don’t really know what the cost of that drink is. When I queried bill and by the time they reconciled the bill to the bar there was a small overcharge. Had I not queried I would never had known.|The quality of the cooked food during breakfast is not good.|We had a family room where two rooms are connected. When given our keys they did not always work. (And no I did not keep keys with the phone). When you ask the hotel to sort these out for you they kept saying they were working. Customer care during welcome was good but during stay not so good. It was very annoying being on third floor and with a toddler having to keep asking them to rectify issue.

The staff make this place by being so friendly, attentive, and efficient. ||I had dinner in the restaurant and was impressed with the quality of the food, which was also good value for a hotel.||Decent beer selection too! ||Good location, and modern rooms which are a little unusual with their polished concrete walls making them quite drab, but I like the story behind it. ||A pleasant solo stay for business.

Great stay staff all friendly, love the atmosphere. Keepers Bar at the Ibis Hotel offers a surprisingly stylish and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for casual drinks or an informal meal. The decor is modern yet welcoming, with plenty of comfortable seating and a good vibe whether you’re visiting solo or with friends.||The menu has a solid range of classic pub dishes, and while it’s not groundbreaking, the food is consistently well-prepared and satisfying. The burgers and sharing platters are standout options, especially when paired with a cold beer or one of their cocktails.

We stayed for one night and arrived quite late. However, our late arrival time was no trouble for the lady that checked us in and the bar and restaurant was still open.||The room was well appointed with quiet air con and the bathroom was really nice and clean. Some may say the room was small but all you do is sleep in it and without doubt I’d stay there again.||We would have rated the whole hotel as 5 were it not for one observation. Whilst we were trying to enjoy a quiet drink we observed a young male member of staff chase a young female member of staff around the reception/bar area with a spider that he’d caught. She was shouting for him to stop as clearly she was distressed and had a fear of spiders. It felt like there wasn’t a manager/grown up in charge. If I’d been the manager there that member of staff would have been shown the door, this is a hotel and not a place for idiotic immaturity. ||Aside from this it’s a great place to stay but were it not for the show off young man who worked there.

Lovely modern hotel. Very comfortable bed nice big bathroom. Very dog friendly good breakfast. Only let down was the coffee. All the staff were very friendly and helpful Would definitely stay here again. You wouldn’t think you were close to the M5 as it’s very peaceful.
