We have stayed here several times and it doesn't disappoint. A warm welcome from lovely staff. The beautiful surroundings, comfortable country-house decor, fabulous treatments in the spa (Sarah's massage in particular). The food in The Tigers Inn and in the restaurant is first class and always delicious, a lovely menu to choose from and all cooked perfectly, to order, with intolerances and allergies taken very seriously, and served by kind and friendly staff. I totally recommend the whole experience.

We went back to Ilsington hotel again. Very warm welcome on arrival although we were a bit early. We had lunch in the Blue Tiger while we waited. Very nice lunch. Our room was perfect, lovely view and spotlessly clean. We were on a 4 night Dartmoor Explorer package which includes dinner. Food was fantastic. Special mentions to Chef, Dave, Thomas and Amanda. We will be back

A lovely peaceful hotel in peaceful surroundings, if you want to get away from it all this is the place to be. All the staff are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We’ve been in the summer time and in the winter when it snowed and on every occasion it has been just perfect. We loved chilling out round the pool and relaxing in the hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room. The food is lovely with generous portions. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I think this is the fifth time we've stayed at Ilsington and it's always a special trip. Obviously the location is ideal - just a short drive (or walk) onto Dartmoor itself, but also just 15 mins from the A38, towards Exeter or Plymouth. The food continues to be fantastic - breakfast, dinner and the cream teas - and perhaps our favourite highlight, the spa facilities, including a pool, sauna, steam and gym. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make it a superb place for a few days away. I love the place!

Hospitality at its best. From start to finish the service was impeccable. From the reception staff to the cleaners. We travel a lot and have found this to be the best service anywhere, by far.

The food was outstanding and the pianist at dinner made it that much special.

I want to thank everyone for the most amazing weekend. We will be back.

We had our Golden Wedding Anniversary at the Hotel staying 10 days in total , there was a bottle of fiz in the room from the management on arrival that was a kind gesture from the Hotel. | Lunch for 24 in their fabulous restaurant on the day, one word about this it was FAULTLESS ! from the service presentation of the tables, Staff, the quality of the meal, even the person playing the grand piano was just FAULTLESS!| My wife & I have stayed there a few times now and every time its the same from house keeping to management even the owner they will take care of you, even the newest staff like Imogene treated you like she knew you , you are a person not a number in this Hotel, nothing is too much trouble for the staff to make your stay special. We could not have had a better place to spend our special day than here at the Ilsington County House Hotel.

Short stay with my wife whilst down in the area on business. Didn't eat in the restaurant but breakfast was first class, staff were all excellent. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Stumming location. Keep up the great work Richard and team.
