The Inn on the Moor Hotel is without a doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff are, without exception welcoming and helpful. Our room (number one) was comfortable and spacious and the bed was excellent. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and the staff went out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements. The food was well-presented, extremely tasty and plentiful. In fact, having not been able to fit in a pudding all week, on our last night there I had a starter and a pudding rather than a main course just so that I could have one of the delicious puddings!|I cannot recommend the Inn on the Moor highly enough!

We stayed in Gothland for a long weekend, and the Inn on the Moor was recommended to us. It was so good we went twice. The food was well presented and tasted great. Took a while to arrive as they were busy, but well worth the wait. The Sunday roast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and upbeat too.

Nice hotel. Room had everything you could want and was a decent size. Breakfast was very good and prepared to order. All Staff very friendly. Only thing that let the place down a bit was decor in the common areas where there was a lot of tired dark wood and 1980's style worn carpets. Location very handy for short walk to Goathland Station.

This was our 3rd stay at the Inn on the Moor and it just gets better each time . |The room we had this time was a brand new junior suite . It was a great size, we had our dog with us and he got a blanket, towel and a welcome box with treats nice touch! We had a large comfortable bed, dressing area , seating area , fridge too. The previous stays have had lovely rooms too and always spotlessly clean .|I think the overall decor in the public areas are in keeping with the fact it is an original inn on the moor, it’s welcoming and comfortable . I think it would not look period if all modern and would spoil the authenticity. |The food is fabulous from breakfast freshly cooked to your order and dinner choices good and are reasonably priced as good portions well presented with fresh vegetables and delicious. |The staff are so friendly and nice genuine people . If you want a nice relaxing time in Goathland with people who genuinely care that you enjoy your stay this is where to come !

This property is perfect. We love it here. The room is beautiful and very comfortable. The pub has lovely drinks and the food is amazing every time. The service at this hotel is outstanding. The staff are all so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. They're always smiling. I don't think I've ever been somewhere where the staff are this nice. Our dog loves it here too. He was always welcomed. It's lovely to have found a place that actually seems to want dogs and not just tolerate them. I've been 3 times now and we will definitely be returning. Thank you all very much for making our stay great every time.

What a lovely and friendly place with reasonable prices. We came for a drink and we were greeted by welcoming staff, we opted to sit outside where there are many tables and a lovely garden area. There is also ample parking. What a contrast to the Goathland Hotel opposite who were rude and over priced. save your money and come here instead!

Fantastic food and amazing staff! Thank you for rescuing my birthday meal!! |We booked very last minute after being let down somewhere else….blessing in disguise.|The team managed to book us and our dog in so last minute and upon arrival reall y looked after us. |A lovely set menu and some really fantastic specials on the board.|I had the stuffed pork loin with an amazing cider cream sauce and my partner had the chicken breast from the specials menu with asparagus…both meals were knockout. |We had to share a desert as the mains were not only delicious but also comfortably filling and sticky toffee pudding did not disappoint, a perfect way to end the meal and my birthday.|Thanks again to the team at the Inn on the moor, you did yourselves proud!

Had a wonderful night's stay in one of the most comfortable and clean rooms we've ever stopped in.
The menu for both evening meal and breakfast were comprehensive, with the food cooked perfectly.
All the staff we met were extremely friendly and could not do enough for us, also always making a fuss over our dog.
Can't wait to come back again soon.
Highly recommend a stay here.
