Great place to stay, very good value for money, staff friendly and very helpful. Room was nice and the bed very comfy, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Great 2 nights stay with a great breakfast.

Bar staff (?Manager and Emma) absolutely lovely. So helpful, always cheery with a smile on their faces. Attentive to customers and chatty. We accidentally got locked out of one of the rooms, again Emma happy to help. Good price on food.

Staff were helpful and friendly, creating a great atmosphere.

The room was... not great for the price.
Had I paid a more reasonable sum for it (maybe £50-£60 instead of £90+), it would have been better.
But I didn't expect much either.
I would get the bathroom checked out. There is no way the wall should be that damp after a shower. And the window not opening because it was broken isn't great either.
Mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable, but okay for one night.

Did not eat breakfast in the morning, even though I had paid for it as the bacon was not cooked enough for me, though the person I was travelling with enjoyed it, and what was on offer was just a little disappointing.

Overall, I wasn't expecting much, and without the super friendly staff, I would have been disappointed.

Loved the quiet area of the hotel, peaceful , no parking hassles , and comfortable rooms too.
Was supposed to be accessible but bath too deep for either of us to get in or out independently. Would still come again though for peace and friendliness of staff.

The rooms were clean and tidy. No air con (on a day which hit 29c) a fan was provided for the room, which helped a tiny bit. Obviously we don't normally have temps that high so it probably wouldn't be much of an issue at other times.

Terrible value for money. £159 for one night, which didn't even include breakfast. Room was tired, worn, and very basic (not even a wardrobe, just two six-inch rails). Scruffy paintwork, shoddy bathroom. Only upside was friendly staff.

Nice room, if a bit too warm. Good location, not far from the Racecourse. We caught both the cavery and the breakfast at the back end of service, so they were probably not as good as they might have been.

Tired look and fusty smelling. Staff more interested in chatting to friends than finding us a table while we waited. Food not good, long wait for evening food . Breakfast had a strange taste suspect it was the oil use, left most of it. Pancakes tasted stale. Ran out of food items at breakfast with long wait, expected to start eating then go back for missing items, not acceptable.
Cannot recommend and wouldn’t go back.
