Just had a fabulous three night stay at this hotel. Linda and the other staff made the stay delightful. |Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served quickly and the quality and presentation excellent, although too generous for me to finish. The room was comfortable and clean. I slept well which is unusual for me in a strange place. The shower was warm and powerful. The toiletries supplied were lovely. The courtesy tray was kept stocked. On the first night we had a delicious meal in the restaurant and would have eaten there again but had prior arrangements with family. I feel that the whole experience was excellent value for money. I really could not fault a thing and will return in the future. Thank you x

Had a nice 2 night stay when visiting our son who has recently moved to the area. ||Room was fine for 2 nights. Bathroom very nice. ||Had dinner Fri and Sat night and both were excellent. I had sea bass and really enjoyed it. My husband had steak on the 2 nights and both cooked perfectly. My son joined us on Saturday night and he had steak and again, cooked perfectly. Bar and restaurant staff really nice. It was very busy both nights.||Breakfast was one of the best we've had. My husband had steak on the 2nd morning! Filled you up for the day. ||All in all, would certainly stay again and will definitely eat there again if not staying.

Surprised this has got the rating it has. I stay here weekly for work, and the staff are tremendously hard working. Often have a steak dinner that's always well cooked, and I have the breakfast in the morning which is also great. The coffee is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, can't really fault it!

Had a lovely visit to the restaurant with my partner for our anniversary. Food was amazing, especially the garlic mushrooms. Portions were great and the taste of everything was perfect. |The cocktails were strong and tasty. |Our service was very welcoming from start to finish. ||I want to highlight that our server Lyndsey was great and very attentive, she always made sure we had everything we needed, thank you!

Stayed here for 1 night as we were going to watch Maidstone United, location for football stadium/town centre is superb, room was large, bed comfortable, nice size bathroom, very clean, restaurant was excellent for evening meal, food was excellent, but drinks are very expensive which is a shame.|Unfortunately breakfast was a bit disappointing, we had a cooked breakfast & although very good size, the mushrooms were covered in garlic butter (which I don't want for breakfast) & sausages were very anemic on the outside and didn't look very appetizing. Staff were very friendly and helpful, despite the breakfast I would recommend and will definitely stay there again.

Our first visit to the restaurant as it was a birthday gift. We had an excellent meal, our fillet steak was cooked to perfection,and our waitress named Sarah was amazing,very welcoming and helpful regarding the menu,we will definitely visit again.

Probably the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. |Firstly when asked for a note on the booking, I stated that it was my boyfriend’s birthday. Then asked upon arriving if it was for a special occasion to which I told the waitress that it was my boyfriend’s birthday (I assumed this was asked so that there may be some singing or some sort of celebration - however this was not the case. |Following on from this, we ordered our food and everything was fine. Steaks arrived, food was warm and cooked nicely. Initially everything seemed good, then a different waiter asked if we would like any sauce. I asked for some English mustard to which I was greeted with a disgusted face and gasp from the waiter. I enquired as to why this was and was told ‘oh nothing’ which I found rather strange behaviour. However the English mustard was provided and the meal continued. |Briefly after this, whilst tucking in to the vegetables I ordered as a side, I swiftly had to remove a long black hair from the back of my throat which was wrapped around a carrot. |Of course, everyone’s worst nightmare to happen when enjoying a meal, but it happens and I guess I was just the unlucky victim. |So in an attempt to take the disgusted feeling out of my mouth, I helped myself to a mouthful of steak covered in peppercorn sauce. To my absolute horror I bit down on something abnormally large and unexpected. Upon retrieving the foreign item from my mouth, I discovered that this free extra was actually the end of a squeezy sauce bottle that had clearly fallen into my steak sauce when it was being poured from the bottle. |Once I had recovered from the realisation that this could have become lodged in my throat, at this point I alerted the waitress to the findings which I had not ordered. She apologised and swiftly left to report this. Upon return she informed me that the manager was told and ‘had a chat’ with the chefs. |Of course I was rather disappointed with the meal at this point, so imagine my horror to discover that none of this was taken into account when receiving the bill at the end of the evening (which was paid for after waiting for a while in anticipation for a birthday celebration from the restaurant after being asked not once, but twice if we were celebrating.)|I would advise not to visit this restaurant, but I can assume from reading this review, you have already made that decision for yourselves.

Our stay was comfortable. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was kind and attentive. The city center is within a short walking distance. I was able to relax at this place as it was quiet enough, despite the nearby road.
