Super comfortable bed, lovely Manor House sat on a private island “Isle of Eriska”. ||This place is beautiful. It’s so quiet and relaxing. My wife and I went because she loves to relax and loves a spa experience. I love to walk around and explore surroundings, this place had both. ||If you love the seclusion of nature in an old manor estate with amazing service, then please go and try this place. ||The team were amazing, they couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great experience. We will be back to visit again and would recommend it to anyone asking. ||Thank you to the team at Eriska!

Isle of Eriska could be amazing but it is not quite there. We stayed in one of the apartment style units in the treetops area. These units are fantastic and I would highly recommend them. Well configured, good space, clean, great bed and nice view. The food options at the hotel are not great at all especially in the evenings. We went to other places some because food was just not great at night. The hotel is a bit worn and needs some infusion of cash. I was disappointed that they no longer have the short six hole golf course. The pool was good and the staff were helpful.

I should have written this review much sooner. Had a fantastic long weekend here on a great winter deal staying in a Hilltop lodge and enjoying breakfast and dinner in the main hotel. It really was absolutely fantastic. Lodges are excellent and spacious whilst being cosy, food is top notch, service is great, pool/spa area brilliant. Really could not fault anything - one tiny bit of feedback was that I thought plastic glasses should be provided in the lodges for use in hot tub (for safety reasons). A minor issue with hot water whilst there was quickly sorted out by friendly and helpful GM Rob. Definitely planning to go back and 100% recommend.

Beautiful location and grounds, walk around the island well worth it, take your time and enjoy the great views, saw red squirrels and deer. Looked out for otters but no joy. Make sure you walk to the highest point for the views. Best use wellies(available at hotel) or walking boots.|Our room was spacious, peaceful and with a comfy big bed, B&O music streamer a nice touch. Antique wardrobe and drawers a bit knackered but part of the character I suppose. Lovely open fire and very comfortable lounge and bar areas.|Foodwise main restaurant closed for kitchen refurb, so we ate at the Deck. Great views at breakfast time. Breakfast was good but not 5 star. Tea good, coffee average. Granola needs improvement totally lacking imagination. If the chef needs some ideas take a trip to the Black Bull in Sedbergh and see what a quality breakfast is! We had dinner twice, the first meal was good 4 out of 5, the second meal was truly excellent 5 out of 5. |We had a nice relaxing swim and Jacuzzi in the Spa.|Service provided by all staff was excellent.|This is not a cheap hotel, think part of the cost is the premium for the peaceful island location, excellent service and the wonderful House. All in all we had a lovely stay hence the 5 out of 5 overall.

So we went here today for a spa & afternoon tea and I hadn't been here in a while.

Greeting was very friendly and professional by a lovely lady today who walked us over to the spa instead of just directing us which was a lovely touch 👌

The staff in the spa are also very welcoming and lovely, explain everything you need to know and give you a walk round. This spa is beautiful, extremely clean, well kept and checked regularly by staff, including the water in the pool. They have all the amenities you need to relax that you can think of, and also provide you with the items you need for pretty much everything from towels, body and hair products, robes and slippers. So really all you need is your costume and a hair brush 😁

Now the massage! Hands down the best massage I've had 👌 highly professional, friendly, great staff relationships in spa and hotel. The most relaxed I've felt in a long time.

Afternoon tea was lovely 😋 served by the roaring fire by lovely staff, great personalities and really down to earth which makes you feel very comfortable 👍

And the exterior and interior of the hotel itself is just stunning with original features.

Overall experience was extremely relaxing with a lovely ambience 👏👏👏

Will make it a regular treat 🤞

4.5/5 We had a great stay at Isle of Eriska. It’s an amazing location and we had a lot of fun exploring the island. There were some rough edges but overall we enjoyed the stay.

We stayed in the main building and it’s quite a charming place. It feels more like someone’s house than a hotel and the common areas and rooms are all warm and inviting. Our room was a good size and we were able to stay in a single king room with 2 adults and 2 kids under age 5.

From a kid-friendliness perspective, this place had good and bad. The good is we could stay in one standard room together, they have goats to feed on the property, and in general the grounds are a great place for your kids to run around and explore. We felt like the staff and other guests didn’t really appreciate our kids being around though…the other guests were mostly the “over 60” crowd when we were there. We didn’t see other families. In other places the staff might try to interact with your children but here I don’t think they even acknowledged them once.

The service in general was very efficient but cold. They make up the room several times per day and always make sure you have everything you need. They were very attentive at breakfast and dinner. It all felt very impersonal though. We didn’t really have a chat with anyone.

The real star of the show is the island. Lots of walking paths, beautiful untouched beaches, animals, just a ton to explore. I wish we had more time to walk around, but my kids loved walking around and seeing the animals and finding seashells on the beach. The area immediately outside of the main building is great to run around in and they have gear for various games to play. It was sunny while we visited so we could take full advantage of the outdoors.

One area that felt a bit disappointing was the food. I was expecting more given the main restaurant had a Michelin star. We did not eat at the main restaurant, but breakfast and dinner at “The Deck” were really underwhelming. Nothing really stood out as being memorable in a good way. Things like the Venison Sliders which sound good at first were actually dry and flavorless. It’s not easy to get off the island to eat elsewhere so you’re kind of stuck with the on-property options.

In closing, it’s a nice place for an escape from city life and experiencing nature while still maintaining some luxury. Not quite perfect but still a very nice place.

This is by far the best hotel & spa we’ve ever stayed at. (and we’ve been to lots of nice places 😊). The location is absolutely stunning (your own private island to explore!), the staff and service are exceptional, the food is beautifully crafted and delicious, the accommodations are superb, and the spa is amazing. We actually found this place at the last minute as we escaped other so-called 4- and 5- star resorts. (Eriska was our sanctuary twice in a matter of days as we ran from the dreadful Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry, and the terrible Low Wood Bay Resort in Lake Windermere). So although the prices might seem somewhat high, for what you’re getting it’s absolutely worth it! We’re already planning our return trips.

Fabulous location, room was beautiful. Staff were amazing and very attentive. We had our two year old with us and they were all very accommodating and kind with her. ||I'd highly recommend the hot stone massage, Nicola was fabulous. Best massage I've ever experienced. |||We were lucky enough to see the otter, wild deer and a sea eagle!
