Staying at the Islington inn was certainly the right choice I had an amazing experience the price was very good based on it’s location within close proximity to lots of attractions. The room was spotless and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.

The gentleman on reception - Chaudry - was so incredibly helpful and kind when I’d had a stressful day and had a (self inflicted) issue with my key. He was a patient and kind and so helpful. |Great location and a comfy stay. |Basic functional room. Hot and powerful shower. Very good value for money.

Decent location but fairly miserable place. Room was absolutely tiny with no air con or fan. The floor was also not flat in the room. There was a funny smell near my room, 208 and overall the whole property was dated and run down.

This place needs a major refurb. Everything is dirty and old except the bed sheets and the shower. It’s passable but unpleasant. Hall floors are black with dirt. Foyer seats have brown grime. I was afraid to touch the carpet in the room. You can get a room at Ibis Budget in Whitechapel for the same price, and you get a free breakfast!

The room is okay for the price as the room size is somewhat small and the hallway to the room is narrow. We struggle to carry our luggage to the room as the irregular design of the hotel. Got two power outlets in the room which is sufficient. No air conditioning in the room, only a small table fan provided. The good side is it is near to many bus stop.

It is what it is. The cheapest place around King's Cross and with an ensuite shower. Reminds me of my old tired student accommodation but the bed was super comfy, everything was clean so what's not to like? Got woken up by nearby traffic but the windows are single pane sash so obviously there will be no soundproofing. You do get complimentary shampoo and teas and coffee. No hairdryer or ironing board but I guess you can request it. No breakfast but plenty of cafes on the short walk to Essex Road station.

So in general it's a good place if you are planning to sleep here only. For sitting the whole days in hotel? Yeah nah.
We had a room for 2 people with separate beds. What we observed first night was that there was a hole between the windows. So if the night would be cold, it's gonna be also cold in the room. You can always put there a towel as a simple quick solution. However yeah, that should be a case.
To city center is like 30minutes, which isn't that bad as with the public transport is quick.
If you are looking for something that won't cost thousands millions dollars (pounds lol) then try it. For your own safety tho as I'm not a local, there might have been better places to stay but this one was okay.

Booked with friends and then read the reviews ! Some are awful so we arrived with much trepidation.|We were met by a very cheerful and polite man who had all our details to hand and checked us in very quickly.|Yes the rooms are basic and a little tired , but we had crisp clean bedding, the bathroom had a lovely fresh just cleaned smell and was sparking clean with lovely new white towels.|The beds were comfy , there was a kettle with tea, coffee milk and sugar available. |The rooms were very warm , but each had a large pedestal fan to combat this . |We were next to the road on the ground floor but heard no major noises and weren’t disturbed.|All in all a good stay , central to where we were visiting , and will definitely use again
