Ali's property is warm, cozy, and incredibly welcoming — the perfect countryside retreat. We enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep in a quiet location with stunning views all around. We just got back from an amazing family weekend at Jammy Patch and had to write a review on this fabulous place. We received the warmest welcome from Ali and James and Noodle the pooch as soon as we arrived and immediately felt like we had found somewhere special. The kids loved exploring the grounds, bouncing on the trampoline and walking through the meadows of wild flowers. The outdoor jungle shower (with gorgeous complimentary products) was great and the compost toilet felt as close to nature as you could get! It was really handy having access to the camping room with fridge ( to keep beers cold!) and also the hammocks, beanbags and fire pits. This place has unbelievable energy, its a short walk along a pushchair-friendly path into the village and we will definitely be returning soon. Thanks again for your hospitality x

A HIDDEN GEM|My wife and I were looking for a peaceful , relaxing break in the lakes and found Beckside Stables on Air B&B. What a find it was. We were provided a detailed description and direction by Ali and arrived at what can only be described as a little bit of Heaven on earth. It is an absolutely beautiful location about a 15 minute walk into Cartmel, down country lanes with stunning views.|The cottage is small but perfect in every way, we didn’t want to go home. Everything was immaculate, the fridge was stocked with breakfast items and everything was provided to just drop the bags and relax, which we did.|While there we experienced rain and sunshine.|At night with the log fire on and the rain beating against the windows we felt snug and warm. In the sunshine, Ali and James said we could roam the gardens , which are huge delightful and private. There are sun spots in abundance, with a glass of Rose and a great view, we wanted for nothing. Ali and James were brilliant hosts. They made us feel welcome and part of the place, absolutely nothing was too much trouble.|I mentioned to Ali that her home made granola was to die for, it was delicious and by far the best I’ve ever tasted. Next time I opened the door to our cottage ( notice I said our) cottage. As I feel we were so settled. Ali had left me a gift of some granola to take home. What more can I say other than this.|If you want relaxation, privacy, great service , fantastic views, brilliant hosts. BOOK NOW.|We will be going back time and again. Oh and it’s great value for money.

Stayed in the Beckside Stables which is an absolute gem of a place. Ali was fantastic, very warm and welcoming and she went above and beyond as a host. Her dog Noodle was also great company! There are so many thoughtful little touches, the decor is adorably and quirky; such a cosy atmosphere!||||Dressing gowns, slippers, snacks and lot's of options for breakfast were provided. Even the outdoor toilet and shower rooms were gorgeously decorated. The log fire makes for a perfect cosy night in, especially with the sound of rain pattering down on the skylight. Such a charming and snug little place to retreat to.

Stayed for two nights and we shall definitely be returning. Superb location, peaceful, about a 15/20 min walk into Cartmel village. ||To be honest I am not a huge fan of camping, only doing it for festivals or on this occasion as our son was attending a course for two days nearby. However, after staying at the Jammy Patch I am converted and we will return next year. ||There is plenty of space, a lovely setting, hammocks, bean bags, trampoline (swings for younger children). There is room with fridge and freezer, kettle, and electric to charge your phones, plus loads of info on things to do. ||The shower room was immaculate, with a hot shower and plenty of room to get changed if necessary. The loo was also immaculate... both of which are lit at night so easy to find.||Alison, the owner is really very friendly and made us feel welcome. And, of course Noodle the dog is great too!

Myself and my partner stayed in the cottage in the picture and to say it was beautiful is an understatement. its a wonderful little home away that makes you feel welcome on just stepping through the door. The owner Ali is amazingly nice and welcoming and is always just a few steps away should need anything. The location is just perfect for a nice walk to the the town of Cartmel which for a small place is buzzing with life and with old architecture makes for a picturesque setting. The only thing i need to add is the matres was the most comfortable thing i have ever slept on, i struggled to get out of bed the following day when i woke because i was too comfortable.

This is the nicest site I've ever camped on. Set in a stunning location with all the feel of real Lake District site, but with the added bonus of a very clean and nice toilets and shower as well as a day room with a kettle, fridge and freezer! Make use of the hammocks and bean bags too! Listen out for the Kite flying overhead. we spotted it a few times but could hear it all weekend! A short stroll into Cartmel, where there's more to keep you busy than you'd first think! The Priory is well worth a visit.
