Bullseye from leagues away. Glorious pizza for a solo traveller on a cold winter night.

Warm reception, warm atmosphere, hot and spicy pizza that absolutely hit the spot, and the ale on tap is lovely too (Black sheep today). Nice soundtrack too which makes a pleasant change!

Definitely coming back when work brings me this way again!

We booked a table for 2 for Sunday Dinner, our order was taken very quickly and we were served quickly too. There wasn't a huge amount of food but there was plenty to fill you up and the food quality and taste was spot on, we will certainly be going back again.

Not welcomed by local people (even though I live locally myself) Unfortunately the landlord was not present... from the moment we entered and tried to seat ourselves (a group of 8....and we were not late for the evenings quiz) we were told by local people we couldn't sit in various places because "other people who were not yet in attendance "usually sit there" to then hear them moaning and to be honest, quite rude and disrespect, about the fact we tried to sit together as a group. This was from ages of people who should know better who wrote frankly acted like children in a playground !! No community spirit what so ever. I understand this was not the fault of the establishment and it would have been interesting to see if the landlord had been present, as to how he would have dealt with this as it was quite an obvious altercation with some regulars just because newcomers came who wanted to participate. A negative experience all round.

Probably one of the best pubs / restaurants in the area. Food is always amazing especially the freshly stone baked pizzas, great size function room, friendly staff and very well maintained.

We visited the restaurant which is in a separate area. There is a good choice of menu with vegetarian options. It is all on one level so it's wheelchair accessible. Dogs are only allowed outside. We only visited for a meal so I cannot comment on the hotel side of the business.
