Kate's is the quintessential cute B&B. Clean, cute, and comfortable staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. The best part is Kate herself who is the absolute sweetest person. She sat with us after making breakfast to order and just made us feel at home with her stories and knowledge. We'll definitely search this place out again if we come through the area.

Lovely place to stay especially if travelling with your 🐩. Not many places to stay are dog friendly so its a great option to have. This bed and breakfast is close to the city centre and even better on a direct route to m6 if heading over to the lake district. Breakfast was great and prices were very reasonable for a comfy bed. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent stay, room very comfortable, Kate was an excellent host, very accommodating, friendly and hospitable. Although this did not affect me personally, the only drawback was that the B&B was initially hard to find being a couple of miles outside the city centre.

Very comfortable and clean room with en-suite bathroom and shower,tea and coffee making facilities in the room which itself was warm and cosy.Kate welcomed us on our arrival, she is very nice and obviously very proud of her guest house and rightly so.This great little guest house was a pleasure to stay in and your privacy is guaranteed.
