Wow. What a lovely place. Food absolutely delicious. It was our first visit, & we was not disappointed. After walking around the seafront trying to find somewhere to have a cupper & a bite to eat, that’s wasn’t too expensive and food was worth the money. We found Kathy’s.
On entering you got a lovely warm friendly welcome. Then you could see all the freshly baked goods on display. & priced.
We couldn’t decided on what to have. So we had a Bbq chicken pastries & chicken & bacon sandwich & nachos and we both shared, As it looked so yummy.. .
A good portion and tasted absolutely delicious . Then we. Couldn’t take our eyes off all the lovely cakes on display. So we shared a slice of the cherry & coconut cake. This was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning. It was really nice to have a good selection of homemade goods on display. All absolutely yummy.

Excellent addition to the seafront. Vast array of pastries and cakes. They also have an impressive selection of seafood as well. Tea and coffee looked good, traditional tea pot/set. Only slight criticism was that vinegar wasn’t offered with the seafood.

First visit. Was told it's been open for 2 years! 😳 Was reluctant to go in as cockles/whelks etc on menu, but at 9.50 there was no smell fortunately. Seemed ok, although was baffled by all the food out but not covered or protected. Coffee nice though (Lavazza) . Will be interesting to go back at lunch in even warmer weather. Veggie, vegan options and "doggie sausages" available 👍

Ordered a fudge brownie slice (£5) 2 coffees, service was awful, took nearly 10 minutes to make a coffee, had to request a refund on the cake as it was like a slice of dried up biscuit! The coffees were pretty awful too and when I mentioned to the young girl that the coffees were not great, she just said that’s how they come out of the machine!! Paid £8 for 2 coffees that tasted like hot milk.

Be aware of this very expensive tourist trap. As other very positive review say, they have a vast amount of pastries to choose from. And they probably were good when they opened the cafe. But now it is only about ripping off and serving cheap and soggy pastry. When we arrived all the pastry had no price tags, so we asked the staff about prices. We wanted to get some of the different sausage rolls. The waiter told us they were from £2 to £4.50 the more expensive ones. Actually only one pastry had a price which was the black pudding sausage roll, at £4.50. See the attached photo. So we ordered a plain sausage roll, a black pudding sausage roll, chorizo sausage roll, and a bacon cheese turnover. They were soggy as they don’t seem to warm them up properly, likely in microwave. Then came the surprise for the 4 pastries (no drinks), they charged us £19.56. Almost £20 for 4 pastries, one of them a plain sausage roll. How does £2 to £4.50 add up to £20? Very expensive and it was not worth it. I’m local in this area and can tell you, don’t waste your money here. When asking the waiter about why it was so expensive? She even apologised for them being so expensive. I couldn’t believe it. I pointed at the pastry with the price tag saying £4.50 and she said that that price was incorrect, those cost £6. But it says £4.50! They (3 waiters came to talk to me) apologised but they did not resolve the issue. If you advertise at a price but then charge more, all I feel is being ripped off. It is clear that they don’t care about the customer experience, all they care is taking as much money from the customers as possible.

Bought some cake and it was so dry it was unbelievable. The cake tasted like they were there for weeks. I will not recommend.

We had heard this place was worth the journey from Southampton and it absolutely was. So many vegan options! It took us ages to choose and we fully intend to come back to try everything. The staff were lovely, the food was great - what an unexpected gem.
It was lovely to have a pasty on the seafront in the sun.
