Last minute booking exceeded our expectations! |Our check-in was slightly delayed so we were given a complimentary glass of wine by Claire. Jack upgraded our room to a lovely ‘Dream Den’ with a balcony and beautiful view over golf course and sea. |Bonus for me was a big bath, fridge, extra large bed, Rituals toiletries, biscuits, coffee machine and free wifi. The decor in the hotel is stunning, unique and very well thought out. We ended up spending most of the time in the bar on the very comfy sofas. Matt at the bar was very friendly too. |We intended to go out but as the hotel was so great we stayed for dinner and had delicious paella in the tapas restaurant with a view of the garden.|The restaurant also very well designed with some lovely tree pictures. | We chatted to the waitresses who told us about the spanish restaurant being a family business in the evening. The hotel is popular with locals who had popped in for drinks that night. |The next day we enjoyed a delicious freshly cooked breakfast and pastries, juice, yoghurt and Jack was flexible with check-out time so we could go for a swim and have a shower before setting off home. |Overall we were very impressed and had a great time in this hidden gem. It is a short walk to Bude town and Crooklet beach and we are planning to visit again next year. |Thank you for a great stay Jack and Claire. We’ll be back!

Although located on the outskirts of the town centre, the hotel has been re-fitted to provide a clean and modern decor. This location proved an advantage with less traffic. The food was excellent and the bar served a wide selection of beers and wines. The cocktails are recommended too. The associated Toro Tapas made some lovely Spanish classics and to cap it all it was dog friendly for our Timmy.

The Kerenza is a fantastic hotel. First, the staff were wonderfully pleasant, laid back, helpful, courteous, etc. - Just absolutely first rate. Second, the room was modern, up-to-date, extremely nice. The hotel lobby and bar area were very nicely decorated with interesting art hung on the walls. The adjoining Tapas Restaurant was excellent as well. The hotel is easy to reach and has ample convenient parking. The Kerenza gets our highest recommendation!

We recently stayed here after attending a wedding. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is in a perfect location and the rooms, views and food were all superb. We really felt like the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Can't wait to stay again!

What a fantastic hotel fresh contempory decor and a great welcome. Third stay and every room I have had has been spotless and comfortable. Bed and bedding lovely quality. Lounge area and bar are very relaxing. The staff are all so lovely. Would not stay anywhere else!

Only a review of the bar as didn't stay . 4 for drinks American ipa was poor . As was the ashanti Japanese lager . Non alcoholic doom bar is good albeit from a bottle . And spirits were obviously ok . Ambience was lacking although the room has great art and seating . Room was cold, left after 2 drinks due to sullen unwelcoming bar staff. Went to another bar where we stayed all night including food so it lost out there on 200 quid . Will return as usual but not now till next year. Thanks for 10k views this month and keeping us in the top 25 % . More to follow
