We had a fabulous stay in Owl Barn at Kernock Cottages. Damian and Louise are superb hosts and their communication before arrival and during our stay was 1st Class. The cottage, which was a perfect size for six adults, one grandchild and a spaniel was brilliant. The cottage has everything you need for the stay; great en suite bathrooms to each bedroom, fully kitted out kitchen and dining area, and plenty of spaces to relax and chill. The BBQ area and large hot tub with amazing views were frequently used.||The grounds around the cottages are well maintained with plenty of space and little woodland areas which provided excellent off-lead hours and lots of exploring for our dog Murphy.||The pub is within walking distance and did great pub food. We also made use of the membership Damian and Louise provide to China Fleet Country Club and also got a round of golf in at the excellent St Mellion GC.|Kernock Cottages is beautiful and quiet, an excellent location to explore the local area. Our favourite way to end a wonderful day was a nice glass of red in the hot tub, to watch a sunset. We will be back.

We have stayed at Kernock twice, first in Heather Barn (Easter) and then in Owl Barn (Feb half term) and had a fantastic time on both occasions. Damian and Louise couldn’t have been more helpful and obliging in settling us in and recommending places to visit. They even invited us to join them in the dog field to throw the ball for their lovely pet.

Both the Barns were really comfy, cosy and had lovely touches of luxury - the hot tubs were a fabulous treat, especially in Owl Barn where it looked over the most beautiful views. Lots of great outdoor space for our active boys to play ball games in. No problem getting Waitrose deliveries to the door of both barns either.

We would 100% recommend visiting Goliatha Falls and Inkie’s Smokehouse (in the car park) - even in Feb they were stunning, as well as The Adrenalin Quarry and the River Dart Country Park. Friendly pub in walking distance and lots of stunning walks in the area. Now we have a dog of our own to enjoy all the dog-friendly options. We will definitely be back!

Our second stay. We love it here. We’ve stayed in two of the cottages and both are wonderful. Pristine, nicely appointed, tasteful. We are here with our dogs and out of all the dog friendly places we’re stayed this is our absolute favourite. Wonderful large enclosed park is fantastic for humans and pups. Greeted with incredible goodies including dog treats, new dog toys, poo bags, comfy soft blankets to cover sofas do dogs can enjoy. Locally sourced butter and selected foods waiting for us upon arrival. Temple Spa products in bathrooms. High quality bedding and super comfy mattresses. EV on site charging is a great perk. BBQ, private hot tub and great outdoor space for each cottage with furniture to chill whilst enjoying birdsong and nature views. The owners are so great and attentive when needed. You can tell how passionate they are about their gorgeous business. We’ll be back soon!

We stayed in Kernock cottages Coach House. It is so tranquil and very comfortable. All you can hear is birdsong!A piece of heaven for both humans and dogs! Our Setter absolutely loved the freedom of the 6acre enclosed Central Bark! The perfect place to reset and take a break from life's chaos!

We absolutely loved our week stay in Owl Barn. The cottage was perfect for our family, where the kids are now adults. We wanted for nothing as the cottage and grounds are fabulous. There is so much to Kernock Cottages, not least rounding off a great day with sunsets in the hot tub. Luxury

Damien and Louise are brilliant, full of recommendations of places to eat or things to do.Nothing is too much trouble|It's our 3rd visit to Kernock with our two labradors and it is perfect.We stayed in th Coach house which is perfect for couples.A nice enclosed garden with a view over the valley.The cottage has high end appliances, Temple spa toiletries and a fabulous welcome pack that includes bacon sausages,eggs, bread, prosecco, coffee butter, tea milk and apple juice.Most of it is sourced locally. Our dogs have their own welcome pack of toys poo bags and treats.Also supplied are towels for the dogs if needed.As soon as we arrive our dogs run into the cottage and make themselves at home|The site is so quiet and Damian and Louise are keen to encourage wildlife, we heard owls ,pheasants and many other birds.Damian has spotted deer at times.|Central bark is great for the dogs, an enclosed area for the dogs to play in and look out for wildlife.|Outside each of the cottages is a gas bbq and a hot tub.|We really enjoy our visits to Kernock with our dogs and are always sad to leave, we definitely recommend a stay.Thank you Damian and Louise.

Superb dog friendly cottages situated in a very peaceful location just outside Pillaton. We stayed in Heather Barn which was spacious, very clean & very well furnished. Loved the hot tub, especially after a day out exploring Cornwall. Central Bark is a wonderful paddock which our border collie ran about chasing a ball every day. Damian, our host, was always on hand if needed & provided excellent advice & information. We were very lucky to enjoy very warm & sunny late September weather & enjoyed an excellent stay. The Weary Friar is a very good pub 10-15 minutes walk away, so good we visited twice & enjoyed very tasty food.

Just back from a two week stay we stayed in Heather Barn it is beautifully decorated and furnished. The kitchen has everything you might need. The garden is well kept and the hot tub is perfectly placed under shelter so even in the rain can be enjoyed. There is a large gas bbq in the garden which we used several times. There is plenty of furniture in the garden to eat outside. We took our dog with us there was a new toy there to welcome him as well as a pupcup. It is a very dog friendly cottage with a dog shower in the garden. There is a dog walking area called Central Bark which is enclosed and even has balls etc for your dog. We took a paddling pool for the dog Damien on seeing this brought us a hose pipe to fill it. Nothing is too much trouble for Damien and Louise it was our silver wedding anniversary while there my sister contacted them they decorated the cottage for us arriving adding a special touch. I would highly recommend a stay at Kernock.
