We wanted a street food style evening offering for our wedding guests and stonebaked pizza was the perfect choice! We can't thank Keythorpe enough for their efforts! They pizza was delicious and all of our dietary requirements were catered for, no fuss! We had so many compliments from our guests and are incredibly grateful for you being a part of making our special day so magical!!

Our wedding BBQ was perfect - great food and fantastic service that helped us to deliver the chilled out, informal vibe we wanted for our day. Our guests still talk to us about how much they loved the food now, a year later. I'd highly recommend for any occasion!

Finally seeing reviews that reflect the actual company. Sub par food, awful attitude from Adam and after cancelling a second event due to how poor our wedding food and service was they actual stole £3000 from us. (Plus deposit which we obviously expected to lose) . Adam delayed and delayed and eventually sent us a message saying we had cancelled and forfeited the balance. If you have a booking with them, good luck! Bring some sauces with you as their food is drier than Ghandis flip flop.

Interesting how you respond to this one but not any of the other ones?

Have you ever stolen customers money after they cancelled well within your terms and conditions? Blocked them on everything? Ignored phone calls? Ignored emails?

Sadly the reviews below do not reflect our experience. We booked this company for our daughters wedding which was held at our home. Our initial meeting with Selina was positive so we went ahead and booked, we paid our deposit and instalments aa requested ( all in advance of the wedding ) Unfortunately as it was towards the end of lockdown we had to change numbers, so we postponed the original booking to the following year to have as an anniversary party and booked another booking with Keythorpe, for a small wedding of 30, Paying for this one in advance too ( we were very trusting that they would deliver a good service, how wrong we were) two days before the wedding, we went to collect table cloths as instructed in the afternoon and met Adam for the first time, he was very abrupt and told us we were too early. Not a good start, and when we got home found they hadn’t given us enough to cover the tables, when we rang we were told they didn’t have anymore ! We had to borrow bedsheets from friends. On the wedding day, they were late, they hadn’t arrived when we went to church, causing panic that they wouldn’t turn up, they didn’t even try to ring anyone of us. They had a flat tyre but it would if been professional to ring to explain. The food was basically awful, we were expecting hog roast, but it was basic bbq food that was very overcooked and dry with very wet pasta salad. The only food that was nice was the pizza which we had later in the evening. Adam was rude all day, barely speaking to any of the guests. He was rude to me when I tried to speak to him, and he wasn’t very smartly dressed he looked scruffy and very grumpy. I have to say though that Selina worked very hard, especially as the promised other waitress didn’t arrive with them at all, so she was the only person serving everything. Adam disappeared and came back with their young daughter ( primary school age) who they then had clearing up! BUT this isn’t the worse of it! As we had been so disappointed with the food and Adams rudeness, we decided not to go ahead with the booking for the following year. As per their contract we cancelled within the correct timeframe in fact more than that, as we gave them a years notice. So we should have had our money refunded, with the exception of the deposit. That didn’t happen, they would not answer the phone or email. They totally ignored us, apart from confirming we had cancelled. We had to go to our credit card company to reclaim our money. They agreed that we had complied within the terms of the contract and Keythorpe hadn’t. Please be very wary of this company, negative reviews very quickly get removed, not sure how they do this. This was an awful experience for us which cost us quite a lot of money and a lot of time sending documents to our credit card companies legal team. Thank goodness we insisted on paying our deposit on credit card.

Absolutely awful, avoid at all costs!

Keythorpe provided terrible communication in the months before my wedding (August 2023), it was impossible to reach them by telephone and they rarely responded to whatsapp or email.

From around 6 weeks to 2 weeks before the wedding I had no communication with them at all regardless of my numerous attempts via phone, whatsapp and email.
Overall, I never once got to speak to Adam on the phone after 30-40 attempts.
This is not acceptable, I have to say it was so stressful to not have everything sorted and confirmed a month in advance like it said in the conditions, when I had ensured to send all the final numbers and details to them in good time.
The first time we spoke was in person on the day of the wedding and this is not OK.

Furthermore, I was not happy at all about no change in price on 11 guests not attending which was stated over a month prior to the event, Adam gave a loose excuse about these 11 meals being used for staff and spare meals for people changing their minds.

I was under the impression a site visit had taken place after we had paid the deposit to secure the booking as they insisted a sire visit would only take place after a deposit had been paid.
The fact that a site visit hadn't taken place was absolutely shocking to hear, aside from this being the most basic industry standard it's plain common sense, and we expressed this on the day itself, this is the main reason for all the issues we encountered on the day.
These issues would have been immediately obvious if you had been to the venue.
A site visit should have taken place as a minimum, communication with site owner was inadequate.

This led to no understanding of access to the marquee and little understanding of site itself.
(The site owner specifically requests all vehicles to reverse to the marquee for this specific reason) however you drove the extremely heavy van straight down the gravel hill in wet conditions and got it stuck, this was extremely stressful to witness and led to even more stress in the morning of the wedding with me wondering if you would be able to serve food at all.
Luckily the venue owner was able to organise emergency recovery for your van.

Due to the access issues, food had to be served from the carpark, in the rain outside.
& over an hour late due to issues in the morning
To ensure the food didn't get rained on, guests were asked (by us of course) to assist the servers with umbrellas and ended up serving a lot of the meals themselves.

Serving staff had very little idea of the table plan which led to most walking around with the food going cold reading table signs with hungry guests waiting.
This lead to me standing telling servers which tables to go to as I seemed to be the only one who knew which tables were where.
This ruined my wedding meal with my new wife and severely impacted the experience of many guests while also being extremely embarrassing for me and my bride that our friends and family had to serve food at our wedding.

Additionally, food was cold for many guests and our gluten free guest complained that her dietary requirements were not adhered to.

Overall, I was extremely unsatisfied with the communication and service on the day, It was such an awful experience for me personally and I am really unhappy that I had to experience that on my special day.

I must note that Adam responded to my complaint and suggested I was exaggerating the attempts to contact them (With 15 times being acceptable?) however it was not just me, but my partner & my wedding planner trying to contact them.

Adam will try to blame all this on me and my wedding planner, including suggesting it was my fault he got his van stuck after admitted the owner had told him on the phone not to drive forwards down the hill.
Suggesting his van took damage during recovery and he is out of pocket as such!
Also after I asked for a fair compensation for our issues (10%) of course this was never honoured, Adam suggested we will be presented an outstanding invoice for extra time due to the delays!

We booked Adam and the Keythorpe Catering team to provide a hog roast buffet, ice creams and evening pizzas for our wedding in August this year and they delivered a great spread for us. All very friendly and helpful on the day and the food went down a storm with our guests, many of whom actively sought us out to tell us how much they'd enjoyed it. It was delicious and plenty for everyone. We would absolutely recommend Keythorpe to anyone looking for large scale event catering and would definitely book again. Word of advice - understandably they do get busy and fully booked (especially in the summer). Tell Adam exactly what you want as early as you can when you book and don't panic if you don't hear from them until a couple of days before your event. In our experience, they will deliver exactly what you've asked for and with style.

Had to give one star to be able to post a review, else I would give none.
My son hired this company to cater for his wedding.
I had the fish & chips as it was the only option being slammed down on the counter at the time, later found out there were other options but wasn’t made aware of that at the time.
The fish was fried within an inch of cremation and tough, I’m sure the triple cooked chips we’re budget oven chips.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

We hired keythorpe for our wedding and it was absolutely dreadful.

While I understand that the price of fresh produce has increased recently, I was shocked to receive sub-par frozen fish and chips on such an important occasion. The food was not only drenched in grease, but it also tasted dreadful. Regrettably, numerous guests, including myself, suffered from stomach upsets after consuming your food.

The situation was so dire that the venue staff themselves approached us and generously cooked alternative meals, free of charge, out of sheer compassion for our predicament. This exceptional response from the venue further highlighted the stark contrast in quality between your catering service and the other suppliers we engaged for our wedding.

After raising the situation with him he did not take any blame for the burnt food and avoided the confrontation.

Save yourself the money and look somewhere else as keythorpe will take your money and hand out food that will make you sick!
