We have celebrated our daughter’s 4th birthday party at the Cafe and absolutely loved it. Eda was super friendly and nice; she prepared and decorated the space beautifully for the kids to play in, provided an amazing spread for the adults and perfect fruit snacks and tasty pizza for the kids. There were plenty of toys, books and plushies for everyone, and in particular all the kids loved colouring the table cloth and playing with the air dry clay! Strongly recommended!

Lovely play cafe. Delicious food and warm atmosphere. We had cheese & mushroom omlette, eggs benedict and nutella pancakes. All very yummy. My daughter enjoyed the kids area with lots of toys.

I was excited to try this cafe along with some other mum friends. The service was lovely and my coffee delicious, but other parents should be aware that this space is definitely not set up for young babies. There were no age-appropriate chairs/swings/bouncers etc for my 13 week old. It was lying on the floor or nothing, which sadly she hates. Also, the only two comfortable chairs for breastfeeding are right in the window which for many mums I imagine isn't ideal in terms of privacy. The rest are not comfortable and don't offer support.

This is a real shame as I was looking forward to spending my days in a local space that was designed with babies and children in mind, but as it stands I won't be returning until my daughter is a toddler. I'm sure at that point we will love it and I hope it sticks around. I hope this feedback is helpful and perhaps some changes might be made.

We visited Kids n’Joy Cafe today and had such a lovely time! My child was completely captivated by the selection of toys, which gave us a peaceful moment to enjoy breakfast. The food was fresh, tasty, and healthy. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

Gorgeous cafe, welcoming friendly service, delicious coffee & pancakes and an excellent area for children to play. So lovely the have a sectioned off baby area then separate space for older children with toy kitchen, interactive busy boards, children’s table. Thank you for opening, this is just what Crouch End needs, wishing you the best of luck - we will be back! X

Had a wonderful time here!
Very delicious food, good sizes, very reasonable prices. My baby (10m) loved the play area.
Coffee (Monmouth) really hit the spot too

Came here on a drizzly bank holiday due to the good reviews with the hope of a nice brunch and somewhere for my 1 year old to play

Sadly, the reviews didn't match the experience

Price: I know it's crouch end, but 7 pounds for a child's portion scrambled egg on toast is high

Service: The bank holiday meant it was busy, but by no means full, yet service wasn't ideal. Had to remind service for cutlery and napkins as none on the table and none brought with the food

Food: Poached eggs in the shakshuka were very under done, still clear egg inside.
Avocado smash and the eggs on toast were fine, simple, but fine

Surcharge: Having not had the surcharge being pointed out whilst being seated, I discovered a 2 pound per child cost if your child used the play area. When I highlighted my surprise, to have a poorly printed sign half hidden by high chairs, tapped tersely, wasn't great.
This isn't soft play, what exactly are they charging for?

Atmosphere: When it's busy, the space available means it's loud

Perhaps my experience isn't the norm as perhaps it was busier than normal on a bank holiday, but I'm not rushing back

Visited today with my nearly 4 year old daughter. Food and drinks were great and the atmosphere was clean, welcoming, calm, and delightful. My daughter enjoyed the play area very much.
