This is a small, family-run B&B and they do a great job. The bedroom was fairly small, but everything was clean and the bathroom facilities were good. The owners were friendly and welcoming, and gave good information about the place and about the broader area. I really liked the large lounge that’s available for guests (great place to watch cricket highlights) and the conservatory (great place for reading Sunday newspapers). The breakfast was excellent.

The room overlooking the river (twin beds) was for sure nicer than my room. Ask for that one. ?

Comfortable one night stay in Tavistock. Our bedroom was at the rear of the property overlooking the River Tavi, clean and with a separate but private bathroom. Breakfast was freshly prepared and tasted very good, couldn’t have asked for more. The B&B accepted pets which was perfect for us, and is located only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Parking is tight, but the owner clearly has had plenty of practice at arranging cars on the driveway. We would definitely stay here again, and I would heartily recommend it.

Lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage.|Great location, fabulous hosts & a lovely breakfast!|Parking at the front of the cottage. Despite our room being at the front overlooking the road - the double glazed window is sufficient in blocking any traffic noise. We had a great nights sleep in the comfortable bed. Plenty of towels and nice bed linen.|Would recommend this little gem!

Stayed here for 1 night - lovely cottage with very friendly hosts, and great location for the town. Although located on the main road, absolutely no road noise at all. Great breakfast in a lovely room overlooking the river. Would definitely recommend and stay again if visiting the area

We found this gem of a place on-line when we booked for a weekend away this summer.||It has the perfect location on the river Tavy right in the heart of the beautiful historic town of Tavistock, the Kingfisher Cottage offers a lovely location for exploring Dartmoor, West Devon and East Cornwall.||The accommodation is cosy, spotlessly clean and offers a quiet, comfortable retreat after a busy day exploring the local area.||The hosts, Paul and Carla are friendly, laid back and welcoming; they instantly make you feel at home.||The breakfast room is a sunny, beautiful sun room close to the charming river. The excellent breakfast is cooked to order in unhurried relaxed tranquility.||We had a lovely couple of nights.

Close to the National Park and a short walk to the main street, we had a lovely stay. Paul the host was magnificent - cheerful, knowledgable and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast to order was a great way to start the day. Highly recommended.

Would have been a five if room was a smidge larger and more parking space as builders were enhancing the garage area. Breakfast was really excellent, fabulous view of river Tavey and a brilliant host. Located on a roundabout within easy walk to the town and access to main road routes.

Small B&B with just a few rooms but great value for money compared to other similar options in the area. A solid breakfast included. Ideally located at the the western edge of Dartmoor. Owners friendly and helpful. Would stay again if in the area.
