Our host Chris made us feel very welcome and the rooms were lovely and comfortable. The excellent breakfast set us up for the day. We were close to all amenities so the B & B is in a great position. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

The host was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable and the room had more than enough space, the breakfast in the morning was really nice as well and the bnb itself is in a good location. Would definitely recommend this place to stay, i have no complaints at all.

Stayed 2 nights as a base for a wedding at the Ventnor Botanical Gardens. The host, Chris, was very friendly and helpful; rooms spacious, comfortable and clean with good en-suites. Off-road parking easy. Very good breakfasts to set us up for the day! Would definitely return if visiting the area again, thank you!

Exceeded our expectations. Chris cooked fabulous, massive breakfasts and was very welcoming and friendly. His local knowledge was invaluable and freely given which helped us plan our walks. Little extras like torches (in case of power cuts - we didn't have any 🙂 and a shared fridge for your milk and things were an unexpected touch. Whitwell is a great location for exploring the Island and we were lucky to have a week's stay with hardly any rain. Top marks to Kingsmede and Chris & wife Kelly. You won't be disappointed.

What a lovely b & b Kingsmede is. Great location in Whitwell near great local pubs and just a short drive from seaside locations.
Chris was the perfect host, couldn't do enough for you and cooked a great breakfast in the mornings. He made time to chat to you and make you feel very welcome. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the Isle of Wight.

We stayed at Kingsmede last week and had such a lovely stay.
Chris was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was a very good size and so peaceful!
Breakfast was also booked perfectly and kept us full for our adventures around the Island

i loved staying at kingmeade b and b the rooms where very clean and there bathroom was lovely and Chris was very helpful and a very good waitress the location was amazing because there where lots of skate parks near the b and b

Excellent in every way. We spent a lovely week here at 'Kingsmede'. Chris and Kelly were the perfect hosts and made us feel genuinely welcome from the minute we arrived. There was a good choice at breakfast and their 'full English' was of generous proportion using all locally-soured ingredients. The location of Kingsmede was also perfect for exploring the south coast with private parking and a really good pub serving evening meals just 2 minutes walk away . Thanks ! A great stay. D and G.
