Came for funeral. No eyebrows raised when, without checking in, I asked where loos were to change. Well appointed, classically styled and comfortable place. Good level of staffing with people providing just the right level of direction . Wake nicely catered for. Easy to find without having to drive through centre of city. Good parking. Attractively kept grounds.

We booked afternoon tea for our daughter's baby shower and we had a wonderful afternoon. The dietary requirements that we had within our group of 16 was not a problem and everyone really enjoyed their food. The staff were super helpful bringing a fan as we were all very hot as it was a super sunny day. Would definitely book again.

I’m writing this review in praise of Mr Lee David, the concierge. He was so kind and took his to and from the emergency room for free to get my wife’s leg treated after she slipped into the gap between the train and platform. He has a great deal of experience and knowledge he shared with us. He knew all about leg injuries because he’s a former paratrooper. The hotel itself was also great with a beautiful garden area just outside our room and good food at the restaurant.

Arrived on Friday on 04.07.2025 for 2 nights. Had an issue when we arrived this was quickly dealt with by Angus the manager on duty in a very professional manner understanding our issue and went over and above to both rectify and resolve the issue. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, we had a meal in the bar on the Saturday night and it was 1st class. Would we return definitely and again cannot thank Angus enough he never stops helps the staff and mixes well with everyone a total credit to this hotel .

Celebrated our 10th Anniversary at the Kingsmills 27/06. Same place we got married. Dinner was faultless. Scallops, mushroom parfait. Lamb, Filet steak & desert. The service was second to none. Special mention to Florin & Charlene in the restaurant. They were brilliant. Christian in the bar area was a consummate professional. He wouldn't be out of place in any top worldwide Hotels. Stayed overnight at the Kingsmills Hotel while working. Staff at reception very friendly and professional. Room was spacious, bright and clean. Food was good in the lounge. Only one issue, one of the staff applied a £2 gratuity to my bill as if it was expected. You would normally ask!

What a wonderful experience at our recent two night stay at this superb hotel. The staff gave us a warm welcome and their friendliness continued throughout our stay. |Excellent facilities and very pleasant and comfortable surroundings. Our dining experience was all you could wish for with delicious food and great service. We will most definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at The Kingsmills Hotel. Our rooms were charming and comfortable. Good breakfast selections. A short drive or cab ride to the city center. Kaitlin at reception was friendly and accommodating. Cal at breakfast service was delightful. Be sure to request a room in the main building if you are looking for old Scottish charm.
