Never again!
We went in about 2 months ago and while ordering at the counter, we saw the chef with the whole of his thumb in his mouth sucking off some food.
We nearly walked out there and then but ended up ordering and vowed never to return.
We thought we would give it a try again. The young lady behind the counter wasn’t exactly a barrel of laughs. She seemed to take great delight in telling us twice, without a smile, what we couldn’t have, and if she had told us in the 1st place that we could only order from the breakfast menu, it would have saved a lot of time.
It was laughable really, they had 2 chefs on, only one table occupied, and she refused to make us a cold sandwich at 10am. Must be great when you can pick and choose your customers.
With a welcome like that from someone, who it seems, views customers as an obstacle to them getting through their day, we decided we wouldn’t trouble her ever again and we apologise for even going in the first place.

Was enjoying a drink outside in the sunshine with my family when a bloke with a bun on top of his head came out of the back staff room swearing at the top of his voice about an order (something to do with a panini) to another member of staff. No remorseful looks from either staff members given to customers sat in hearing distance. Not a nice atmosphere especially when I'm sat with my 4 year old.

A great addition to West Vale. Delicious cakes and pastries as well as sandwiches, toasties and salads. The coffee is also very good and hot just how I like it. Friendly staff and a clean and tidy environment. You can sit outside the weather allows. I would recommend.

Fantastic choice of food and drink. Lovely drinks but the sandwiches were the stars-they were absolutely gorgeous!. Great quality ingredients and full of tasty fillings. Can’t wait to return and try a cake as the sandwiches were so filling we didn’t have room for any today!

First class. Sandwich was amazing. Soup was also very impressive.
When I normally ask anywhere for a strong coffee it’s still usually weak, but it was perfect here.
