I stayed at this hotel recently, and while there were some positive aspects, there were several concerns that families with young children should be aware of before booking.

Pros:

The location is excellent, very central and convenient for exploring London.
The Junior Suite we stayed in was spacious, which was a nice touch for a city hotel.
Cons:

The crib provided for my baby was completely unacceptable. There was no mattress at all, just two metal bars. I spoke to reception multiple times to explain that a proper mattress was needed (as travel cribs typically come with one), but every time, they only brought sheets. It was frustrating and felt absurd.
There was no microwave available to heat up baby food. When I asked if there was one in a common area or lounge, I was told the hotel doesn’t have microwaves for safety reasons. But no alternative solution was provided for warming my baby’s food.
Additionally, we had to use the sofa bed, and to our surprise, both the fitted sheet and duvet had large stains, which was quite disappointing.
Noise: As mentioned in other reviews, the sound from the underground/tube is noticeable and can be quite disruptive, especially during early mornings or late evenings.

Overall, while the location and room size were great, the lack of basic amenities for families and cleanliness issues left a lot to be desired.

What a wonderful hotel! Everything is correct, the atmosphere, the room (Junior Suite), clean, breakfast and especially the Staff (Mariia). Perfect location, very quiet, 2 tubes within walking distance. Highly recommended.|We’re going back in March 2025!

What a total let down. I booked this hotel as the search criteria for “luxury” hotel London had it listed. This hotel is anything but luxury. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything above you, either side of you and the tube under you - noisy day & night. At check in I was over charged which got refunded to be at check out with no explanation as to why. Our room 210 had an issue with the key constantly beeping do not disturb not working and clicking power on and offer every 10-30 seconds and being unable to leave the key in to get power for air conditioning we went down to reception twice as our room phone also didn’t work and the second time they actually sent someone to look at the issue - 40mins later of maintenance huffing and puffing they couldn’t fix the issue so we were told someone else would come up. No one came and instead we were told they would fix it when we went out for the evening. On that evening getting back at 10pm the issue was still not fixed. Our room was not attended by housing once during our stay either even tho they were outside our room both mornings. The level of noise distribution and a very uncomfy bed lead to the entire stay being one we will happily forgot. On departure I was told I would be refunded the service charge so waiting on that to happen. A far cry from a luxury hotel.

Perfect location, 50 meters from Bayswater station and 200 meters from Queensway station. Hotel is compact, newish and nicely designed. Rooms are on the smaller side, if you have large suitcases it might be crowded. Beautiful marbled bathroom. Nespresso coffee machine in the room, bottled water dayly replenished. Very decent breakfast.

This hotel is definitely over-rated. Stayed in room 11 - noisy corridors opposite the chamber maid room - constant noise, poor sound insulation, small dark oppressive rooms. Changed room to basement room, smells of damp/mildew, poor ventilation, dark and oppressive room. Clothes had damp odour smell on check-out. Needs maintenance. Breakfast limited to poorly stocked, limited, continental breakfast. If felt like unless you book direct with the hotel, you get put in the worst rooms. Lots of people hanging around hotel - possible nearby hostel - didn’t feel safe at times. This hotel is not worth the money. Better hotels to stay in locally.

My fiance and I were visiting the UK for two weeks and decided to book La Suite West for our stay. ||||I'll start with the good: ||||- The staff was very friendly and hospitable (except for one receptionist - the blonde woman with a Slavic (?) accent was VERY rude. She would consistently ignore any service requests despite us calling the front desk several times.) Everyone else on the staff was wonderful, and if we could, we would rate their service as five stars. ||||- Prime location. A block from the Bayswater station and a couple of blocks from Queensway station. Walking distance to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. Lovely neighborhood. ||||- The Junior Suite rooms are a nice size and can comfortably accommodate two adults. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and there is a lovely shower/tub in the bathroom. ||||Now for the bad (again, the staff was wonderful. We believe some of these issues are directly related to the design decisions made by the owner. ||||- It was difficult to avoid getting water all over the floor in the bathroom, as the shower does not have a curtain or glass door. Water would pool on the floor, making it very slippery. || ||- Overall cleanliness. The room needed to be dusted and cleared of cobwebs (specifically the interior windows and doorways). The carpets need to be deep cleaned and/or vacuumed. Lots of debris and dirt would get onto our feet. ||||||Lastly, the UGLY: ||||- The windows and walls of the hotel are PAPER THIN. Our suite was on the 1st floor (street level), and we could hear noises from the building, kitchen, and the street. We did not get much sleep the first few nights. Being so close to the metro, you can hear the underground every 10 minutes. You can also hear each time your neighbors are showering or using the bathroom. Ear plugs are definitely recommended. ||||||All in all, I don't believe we would stay here again, but we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive but nice place to stay while visiting the Kensington area. The only caveat would be to bring your noise-cancelling headphones or good-quality earplugs.

Staff was friendly. Location is very good! Super close to Hyde Park. There are 2 underground stations within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Also lots of food choice as well in the area.||Our room was on basement level (room 002) it was a rather dark room with no big window, just a door to a very small garden with a small window. No view at all. The shower window was to small, after every shower there was water everywhere. ||Hygiene was not so great. The gap between the sink and bathtub you can tell it wasn't clean. The shelf against the wall was dirty. The room was carpeted, which means it was very stuffy, for people with allergies (like me) it was not very pleasant. The matras was not so clean, it was rather brown-ish.

This hotel has great location between two tube stations and close to Paddington station with several bus stops as well.||I thought that our room (Junior suite) was clean and ok size for London. Yes, the bathroom has many user mishaps but when staying few days you can live with it. Breakfast was ok for being an UK hotel. Everything is refurbished in the hotel.||But what I did not like was firstly, there was some issues in our room in check-in and they changed it quickly but didn't really explain what happened. That was odd and we were waiting in the lobby to be able to go to our room for some time with no explanation.||Secondly, we had two kids (+ 2 adults) with us and for the whole stay we were missing something, like only two water bottles at the fridge or not enough bathropes, not enough tea for 4 etc. I did tell about this couple of times but they only gave us bathropes and towels but never supplies for 4 in the fridge and never said that only adults will receive it but rather promised to fix it and never did. That was odd for a 4 star hotel and super dissapointing that half of us in the room got what was promised and half did not.||Thirdly, the walls are paper thin. You could think that the location is pretty quiet but far from it. At night drunken people were yelling at the streets, tube was rolling underneath us, next door roommates were talking on their phones in the night etc. The whole stay I slept badly. Plus the sofa bed did not have extra matress so the kids complained that they felt the springs. ||Overall an ok stay but not really a 4 star hotel experience.
