Stayed in the Shepherd's hut. It was brilliant. Very warm, cosy, and friendly but respectful owners. Welcomed us, but gave us space. I frankly want to go back every year. Geese were all part of experience! I would love to of stayed there all day every day rather than venturing out! Watching swallows at the lakeside whilst having a evening meal - Worth every penny! Lovely.

Stayed at Lake View, very warm welcome. Place was very clean, comfy beds, plenty of hot water and these things are important to us. Lovely walks from the cottage which we thoroughly made use of. Will be back again next year!

We had a room in the main house. It was large with a view over the garden, so peaceful. The bed was comfy. A large bathroom complete with a bath, always a bonus these days. Big fluffy towels. As well as packs of cookies, chocolate biscuits were also left, a mid afternoon snack. Welcome to roam around the farm pathways and look at all the animals. Or you could walk around with Kathy early in the morning. Paying extra for the huge breakfast cooked by Mark, set us up for the day. Taverners pub is walking distance, the food and beer are excellent, the menu is varied, so an evening drive to a restaurant is nt necessary.

Stayed here for a last minute booking for my dads birthday in December. Great view, warm welcome from the owner couple. Kids really enjoyed visiting the farm animals. Everything is clean. Would definitely recommend.

Don’t come here if you want the Hilton, Marriot or Intercontinental experiences. Don’t expect hipster furniture or latest electronic gadgets. Don’t come for dozens of staff walking in long corridors distributing packaged soaps. Don’t expect a phone with fifty numbers to call internally if you need something. Park Cottages has none of that. Thankfully this is a family run business that understands what matters. Someone who cares for your guests arriving at midnight, showing you your room, making sure you’re comfortable and feel welcome. That someone is Mark and he owns this place. He makes you breakfast and enjoys you with meaningful conversations, a real person running a real paradise setup full of tranquility and peace. We could not ask for more.
