Stayed at Lakeside with friends. Really nice place, relaxed with good food and good a good course. Bar had good options and the bowling alley was a nice addition for the evening. Lodges were also nice and featured en suite for each room. Looking forward to going back later in the summer. Staff were all very friendly

We hired the green room for my 70th birthday celebration the whole experience was 10 out 10 for the whole night. The bar staff were excellent and the buffet was amazing possibly the best buffet I have ever seen or had. It was for 38 people but so much was over we only really needed half the quantity as so much was left over even after we had taken a lot home with us. We stayed in a lodge which was so big and plenty of space. Would highly recommend this place.

Myself and three friends returned this weekend for a three day golf break. We stayed in Willow Lodge. The lodge is well appointed, including an excellent wine fridge, the individual rooms are very comfortable and it is overall a comfortable place to relax in the evening after an evening meal that will not leave you hungry!! The menu has a decent selection of food, the bar is fully stocked and the staff in there are friendly and helpful. Breakfast itself has everything you would want on offer to start your day. The golf course is in great condition and a decent challenge. The pro shop is well stocked with essentials should you need anything. The buggies are very modern with on board sat-nav to plot your way around. On the whole a visit here represents decent value for money and I look forward to future visits.

We booked Lakeside Lodge as we were planning a suprise party for a family member, thinking it would be very convenient to stay on site.........this is where it goes wrong. Would've had a better stay in the car. ||Firstly, had a call to ask when we will be arriving as reception closes at 5pm. We then arrived at 2:50. After a short walk through, which looked like collage corridors, we went to reception to check in. We stayed in 'room 6'. We booked a double room. We then had to walk half way across the carpark away from the complex, to what could only be described as a pontins motel chalet.||At this point our hopes we gone. We open the rickety door with cobwebs on, to see a double bed and a single bed. At 1st glance it looked durable, to which then went down hill pretty quickly. ||The bed frame was ripped, their was a stain on the carpet, the head board was breaking, dead spiders in the bathroom light, there was no blind on the bathroom window, the shower head was filthy, as we're the taps, the shower doors didn't close properly and also didnt drain properly, the kettle took about 5 minutes to boil and the walls were paper thin.||Saturday then came along, to which we went for breakfast....as we took a nice stroll along the carpark, smelling the love sewage tank located in the middle of the carpark, we then went into the empty restaurant. Their was no one to greet us, we waited for a couple minutes to then a lady coughing behind the till and also seemed like they didn't want to be there. They were quite abrupt and let us do our own thing. The condiments were on a book shelf, there were no plates, very little bread. However, on a brighter note, our breakfast was lovely. On our way out, we said thank you good bye, to which there was no reply, and also reception was closed until about 5pm.||We checked out Sunday very early and even turned away our breakfast as we couldn't stand being there any more. We payed £278 for the 2 nights Not worth the money at all. You'll be better off booking elsewhere. A refund would be lovely for 1 night, but don't get your hopes up as reception is open when they want to be.||In conclusion, stay away 🙂

I didnt stay here but I went over for sunday lunch with my parents and cousin. The food was amazing and the staff were so freindly and attentive. The portions were huge and the beef which i had was delicious. It was one of the best Roasts that I have experienced in the area! the price was fantastic too, very good value!

Stayed for 2 nights with 3 rounds of golf. |Food and accommodation was very good|The golf course was in a decent condition and interesting enough to play. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly in the case of forwarding on a jacket that I had left in my room. I would definitely consider another golf weekend at Lakeside Lodge and recommend it.

The room was boiling to the point I wanted to sleep in my van, the windows are old and someone could easily open the window fully and climb on through.|There was yellow scale all over the shower and clearly don’t replace the shower heads, reception and pretty much any activity shut at 8.30 (I was told that the closed the bowling alley because nobody showed up) so could not make a complaint. In a nutshell avoid at all costs it’s a golf club with a bunch of student rooms which are priced way to high. I’m not even going to bother with breakfast that’s how bad it is, I’m turning away a free breakfast.|Finally if you have issues dealing with cold or winter seasons just stay here!||I will be making a formal complaint.

We had our wedding here and we'd both like to say, it was everything we could have wished for. The setting, The Staff and especially the food was outstanding.
We'd like to praise Sarah on her first wedding flying solo. She was very professional, calm, and attentive to all our needs.
The guests all went away saying it was one of the best weddings they'd been to all thanks to the staff and food.
Thank you to Lakeside Lodge for making our day special and very memorable.
