We recently indulged in the afternoon tea and spa package at lakeside hotel and it was an absolutely wonderful experience!||||The afternoon tea was a highlight of our visit.the food was equally delightful—delicate sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and an array of exquisite cakes .||||The spa facilities are top-notch. The environment is tranquil and soothing, perfect for unwinding. We opted for a massage, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The spa also features a variety of other amenities, including a sauna, steam room, and relaxation lounge, all impeccably clean and well-maintained.||||The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience.||We highly recommend the afternoon tea and spa package ,It’s the perfect way to treat yourself or a loved one. We can’t wait to return!

Chris made wonderful effort to accomodate us and made our experience very pleasant. He even went above and beyond to congratulate my girlfriend for her recent graduation with a delicious congratulation message.

Held a surprise 50th here for my husband. Fantastic night, great service from the moment I booked through to the breakfast the morning after . Such a high professional standard of hospitality , a big thank you to Jess, Jill, the bar staff, DJ Paul and of course Khalid, thank you for checking in and helping with all the finishing touches ||The facilities and overall experience were excellent.||Thank you so much for making all of the party guests stay so memorable. ||Highly recommend this venue for a healthy mix of fun, quality and relaxation ||Thanks again, we will back again ?

Booked a suite for my wife’s 50th birthday celebration but very expensive for what we got. OK but could be so much better if they did some updates! Suite was a bit tired in decoration, very old TVs, chipped sinks, toilet could do with a major clean and shower cubicle external base needs better cleaning. Around the lounge ceiling lights show that the ceiling really needs a new coat of paint! Evening meal was delayed to 8:00pm start due to wedding reception, very limited options on the menu and nothing like that shown in the room hotel information folder. Also noticed some fire doors were wedged open!

We visited for a celebratory high tea. Three of the teas were average, too little savoury and excess sweet, but the dairy free tea was very disappointing, with very strange substitutions. |The dairy free sandwiches were all on rather dry white bread and all the fillings were very meagre. The dairy free had paste instead of smoked salmon and prawns in the other teas!|The dairy free scones were very, very dry and an odd texture. They arrived with only jam - we had to ask for flora and vegan cream was ‘not available’. Pretty uninspiring jam, too!|The dairy free cakes were very dull compared with the selection provided to the others. No attempt at ‘butter’ icing at all, just small slabs of cake. |Sadly, I was hungry so had to eat. We complained, were given some unconvincing explanations showing lack of culinary knowledge. Had the impression they couldn’t care less.|My message to Lakeside- don’t accept a booking if you can’t fulfill to a decent standard.

Limited menu for dinner, ordered lamb and arrived missing an item. Was told chef had forgotten and then told had run out.. at 7.15, really? Options were not really acceptable as food has nearly been eaten and not even a free drink offered. Not waitresses fault but not great experience|The hotel was nice and staff friendly, good breakfast but wasn't told about extras you can order such as eggs benedict|Hotel was busy with events but find a wedding party in the bar while wait for the room to be ready for evening was not great when having a quiet drink. We left in the end as couldn't hear to talk. |The Spa treatments were a bit hit and miss, one great treatment and one pretty poor and not a great experience. |Hotel is lovely location with a nice pool outside area and lovely friendly staff but sadly wasn't as relaxing as was hoping

Wow, what a beautifully modern hotel with stunning views and the most beautiful surroundings|We spent two nights at the hotel and would highly recommend a visit.|The staff are professional, friendly, helpful and welcoming.|We indulged on afternoon tea on our arrival and it was fabulous, so much food but all delicious a must if you are visiting.|I also had a facial in the spa which i have to say was one of the best facials i have ever had, the whole experience was fabulous so relaxing my skin was really left glowing ||The outdoor spa area is beautiful on a warm sunny day you could be anywhere |In the evening we sat on the terrace with a cocktail with views of the well kept lawns and gardens with a view of the lake, it has a calm chilled vibe.ideal spot to soak up the last of the sunshine||We ate in the restaurant both evenings - so much choice on the menu, the Crab salad was excellent a must try - everything we ate was delicious and well cooked.|We would like to mention Khalid who offers exceptional customer service nothing is too much trouble and he made us feel relaxed and very welcome||All in all we had a wonderful relaxing time and will be re booking soon

We had a three night stay in the hotel, the complex is set in large grounds with a picturesque lake, the building appears to be late 20th C which is large and spacious as are the reception areas, hallways and stairwells, the carpets and fittings seem up to date and we'll maintained. The Wooton bridge area has an interesting local history said to be once visited by King Canut

The Brasserie building was also very spacious and split level with ample outdoor dining area and well spaced tables, the buffet breakfast and evening meals were very good. The staff were well turned out very polite and professional.

The room itself however was not as satisfactory, although the bathroom was clean and modern and the carpets up to date the furniture was dated, worn and tattered. The mattress had some rather gross stains under the cover and the curtains were torn and ragged.

This didn't detract from our overall positive experience in a big way but for this reason I can only award 4 stars and sad to say if I visit the island again I won't be returning to this hotel.
