I didn't end up staying with this host due to uncomfortable interactions upon my arrival. The host made comments about my appearance and he asked if he could buy me a dress. There was no woman on site, so I'm unsure where the other host was. Future guests should be aware of this, especially if they are a young woman travelling alone. Regarding the B&B it smelled dusty and you don't get given a key I think the premises stays open, and you are not permitted to eat in your own room there's a sign saying you need to go downstairs in the dining area. Shoes had to be left in the porch which I felt uncomfortable with, so I took them off upon arrival and carried them to my room.

Joe is a great gentleman his b&b is a great place. I've been stopping here with work and no problem, clean and tidy breakfast if you want it and a couple of good pubs down the road for food definitely recommend him

This was a perfect location for our visit. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast was well worth having. The host Joe was a really nice guy and we thoroughly enjoyed talking with him. Will definitely use again next time we visit the Area.|Thoroughly recommend if you are wanting to stay in the area, also has secured parking.||Thanks again Joe see you again soon.

Outstanding comfort, peace and quite, facilities, hospitality and food! I have stayed here a number of times now whilst attending workshops in the area and have been pleased beyond words every time. The hosts are friendly and go the extra mile to meet your needs with everything from a taxi service to comfy fluffy dressing gowns and slippers, and lovely bathrooms. I have complex dietary needs which have not only been met but the food is stunning, exciting and delicious. Big thank you from me as I know I can always be well fed and well rested before work.

11/06/2022Arrived to.a warm welcome from.our host joe.we were visiting for a concert..lovely twin room comfortable beds with crisp white linen and all room.facilities with breathtaking views of the garden..Huge private bathroom with corner suite bath and walkin shower complete with toiletries robes and slippers. Peaceful night sleep. Went down fòr breakfast lovely touch our names on cards at the table which i thought was a lovely touch. Huge openplan kitchen where breakfast was cooked freshly infront.of us which was delicious and fullfillimg. Lovely flowing conversation throughout. I could of stayed all day talking to Joe. It was a pity we were only there the 1 night. Joe was charming very knowlwedgeable and funny. Noyhing is a problem and joe goes out of his way to ensure his guests are happy. Well run establishment and my go to.place when i next visit manchester. This place is a gem as is joe. We also met tje lovely Ann briefly who seemed lovely also. Thankyou for making our stay memorable.

I booked this for my son in laws birthday party for August 2022. All nice and happy, no concerns and payment requested by August 6th 2022. Then out of the blue payment was demanded today 19/7/2022 and with part payment , then cash up front immediately. I reminded them of our agreement of payment on 6th August 2022 to which they then responded by text message stating that the booking has been subsequently cancelled with immediate effect. As a consequence of this company’s actions, I am now left with no explanation nor more importantly any accommodation.

My partner and I have already submitted reviews for this establishment, which were not good. We||recently booked 4 nights there earlier this month but we left after one night, having paid in full for our stay||on arrival.||We had booked to stay there as we were paying a long awaited visit to my elderly mother and did not||want her to go to the trouble of making up beds etc. This place seemed ideal, as it was very convenient,||being within walking distance of her house and appearing to have good reviews. Unfortunately, we found||the place to be unacceptably dirty and our room had obviously not been cleaned thoroughly for some||time. There were cobwebs and live spiders everywhere. hairs in the shower plughole, thick dust and||dead insects on the windowsill and an elastic band holding the shower handset in its cradle. The owner||explained to us later in an email response to our negative reviews that this was to prevent the handset||falling onto the floor of the shower cubicle and causing breakage and that the elastic band could be||removed whilst showering, but surely this should have been explained to us at the outset! We||understandably assumed this was meant to prevent the handset from being removed at all. Any||enquiries we may have had were made particularly arduous due to the owner insisting on all||communications with him during our stay were to be made by text message, rather than addressing him||face to face, which seemed quite bizarre and something we have not encountered before whilst staying||in any other hotel, guest house or similar establishment.||We were unable to fully explain all the issues to the owner on leaving the next day, due to him waiting for||us outside in the pouring rain, as he was ready to leave for his other job as a gardener and wanted to||see us out so he could lock the entrance gate behind us! It was difficult to communicate with him in these||circumstances, as can be imagined. Subsequent to us submitting our reviews, he emailed me asking me||to communicate with him directly and he would address the problems, with which I duly complied by||sending him a polite email. I was disappointed to receive no further correspondence from him and no||further offer of a partial refund. This was not entirely surprising following our recent experience but we||would have expected to at least have had the courtesy of an acknowledgement.||Had we had a response from Joe and some sort of explanation and apology, we may have reconsidered||our review. This did not happen and I can only say that we would therefore discourage others from||visiting this establishment and experiencing such disappointment and distress as we did. He would have||to make significant improvements in order to make his place acceptable to visitors.||We are not vindictive people and like to give people a fair chance but unfortunately, by not replying to my||emails, Joe left me no choice other than to leave this review. I can only hope he sees fit to make some||changes to improve the way he runs his bed and breakfast business.||One last point - free wifi connection was available but the password to connect to this, provided in the in-||room booklet, was incorrect and we were therefore unable to benefit from this facility.

Had a wonderful stay. The owners made us feel very welcomed. It was my mums birthday during our stay and at breakfast she was presented . with a cupcake with a candle, a lovely gesture. Very clean with fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. This place is a hidden gem.
