My husband and I booked a room in February to stay here for 3 nights during T in the Park (10th-13th July). ||||Upon arrival we were told our room wasn't ready however they would see to it that our luggage would be in our room when we returned from the festival that evening. When we returned at around midnight we were informed that they didn’t actually have a room for us and we would have to go to Perth or a small town “10 minutes away”. By this time we were exhausted and just wanted a place to sleep so obviously we decided on the closest option. ||||Not only were we placed 17 miles away in Comrie, we also had no way to actually get to T in the Park given that there were no shuttle buses, which we were assured by them there would be when we returned on Friday night after the festival. Had we known this we would have chosen to go to Perth where we at least knew we had a way to get there. The shuttle buses from the closest town, Crieff, left at 10am and 12noon which was irrelevant as we were advised they had to be booked well in advance.|| ||We were left with no choice but to drive to T in the Park and leave our car at a cost of £20 per day only to have to be pushed out of the car park and spend hours trying to get back to Comrie once it finished, and that was with leaving early during the final acts which were the ones we were most excited to see. May I add I only drove my brand new car out of the showroom a few weeks ago so having it parked in a field and almost needing a tractor to pull us out, as you can imagine, was highly irritating. Thankfully we didn’t take my husband’s car as his is rear wheel drive and we would have been seriously stuck, however spending the weekend driving to and from T in the Park was never our agenda. || ||I have no idea what we would have done if we hadn’t drove down as we’re from Aberdeen! || ||Due to this, it was an incredibly dry weekend for my very first T in the Park experience, whilst all our friends were enjoying the atmosphere with a few sociable drinks, I was nursing cups of tea for the remaining 2 days of the festival and surprisingly T in the Park isn’t so much fun when you’re the only sober one. || ||We called it a day on Sunday night even though we had planned to stay until Monday and left halfway through the closing act which was unfortunately the one act my husband really wanted to see however we couldn’t risk another 4 hour wait to get out. We eventually arrived back in Aberdeen at 2am.|| ||We are still unsure of exactly what happened, we were told there was water damage in 3 rooms and then told they were overbooked, all of which makes no odds now, however the sheer fact they had people returning from a festival late at night / early in the morning to no accommodation is beyond me! We weren’t the only ones, there were 2 young girls on their own who were also told they had nowhere to stay! Had they advised us of this when we checked in as they were clearly aware of the situation then, we could have looked into alternative accommodation and sorted it out so it wouldn’t impact on our weekend. || ||As it stands the only good thing about the weekend was the actual festival and we missed a portion of that due to this utter debacle.||||We were written a cheque to cover our deposit we paid in February however this has now bounced, a matter which will be taken further.||||I would not advise anyone to stay here, not only due to their complete incompetence however the fact they also have at least 7 cats (3 cats + 4 kittens) running around. When we arrived one cat was lounging in a pile of clean towels and another was sprawled over the dining table. The cat litter tray is in the kitchen therefore releasing the smell of cat urine straight through the ground floor. As cute as they are it’s completely inappropriate in a B&B!||||An utter sham and complete con artists!
