A lovely hotel, and just perfect for families. The soft play room, swimming pools, table tennis, board games etc make it fantastic for children, and means that parents can have a coffee and…. even finish a conversation! Staff are all helpful and friendly, and breakfast is good. There are lots of family rooms and you can use the facilities for the rest of the day after you check out. Would definitely recommend!

This hotel has been in the same family ownership since 1947 and their attention to detail is impressive. On my 4-night stay all the staff I encountered were helpful, friendly and professional. Everywhere was spotless and my room had everything you would want, including air con, a super shower, WiFi, plenty of storage and a balcony. All meals were excellent, dinner being a carvery with starter and dessert served at table. I could not fault any aspect of my stay here.|Plenty of car parking, there is a handy bus stop at the end of the drive and Dawlish Warren rail station is an easy 10 minute walk away.

Fantastic hotel, great location with lots of parking outside.

Food is amazing and is good value.
There are lots of options, and the staff more than happy to assist. They helped us with our fussy 5 year old, accommodating all of his needs and going above and beyond to assist.

Good sized swimming pool.
Soft play inside the hotel and there is also large outside play areas for children.

Really close to seafront and walks to dawlish and Starcross.

I have been attending Royal Naval reunions with RN colleagues at this hotel every year since 2010. We keep going back because it is quite simply a superb hotel, in a great location, with excellent food, excellent services provided by all the staff, who are mainly local young people. It is a family owned and run business that has looked after us on our visits since day one.

the hotel is dated but has clearly been subject to careful ongoing work to maintain a high standard of quality and comfort. our good sized bedroom was perfect with new bathroom suite, comfortable bed, plenty of storage space and a balcony overlooking the grounds and the sea.||several large public rooms offered comfortable chaires and settees with plent of space for many guests.||decor is wonderfully unusual. quirky and interesting. one expects that, at any moment, hercule poirot will appear to solve the latest murder.||dining was excellent, well staffed and with the option of main course served to you or collected from the buffet at your choice. there is excellent food in both quality and range of choice.||and the staff, in every area, were welcoming, friendly and helpful.||the langstone cliff is a hotel to which we could, and probaly will, return often

Lovely multi-generational weekend break. We took a relative who has been going to the hotel for nearly 60 years. Great food and whilst not everything went to plan, the hotel management owned what could have been done better and turned the whole thing around. This is what you call hospitality and it was gratifying to see customers treated so well. Recommended!

We had afternoon tea here and it was a lovely experience. The staff were lovely, we were seated at a perfect table in a large bay window looking out to sea and the afternoon tea provided was delicious. There were lovely fresh sandwiches, a scone with jam and clotted cream and a selection of cakes including brownies, a min Victoria sponge and a flapjack. All were lovely.
