Langstone Quays Resort - Hayling Island

We had a wonderful stay once again at the Langstone Quays Resort.. This really must be one of the most underrated and undiscovered hotels in the country. We stayed in a very spacious and well equipped superior room which had spectacular views over the harbour and the surrounding fields. It really was a unique and breathtaking location we just wanted to spend all the time in the room to take it all in.

Nevertheless, we ventured out to try the facilities and were rewarded with an incredibly well equipped gym with new machines and everything you would expect from a top gym without any queues and with plenty of space. There was also a very large and well heated pool which was lovely to relax in, as well as what appeared to be a brand new and very effective sauna and stream room and loungers to relax in afterwards. There was a lovely atmosphere throughout the entire hotel.

The breakfast was excellent. There was a huge spread including a full English breakfast, a variety of cereal, freshly baked croissants, made to order porridge, fruit and cold meat and cheese.

The staff were brilliant, hospitable, professional and diligent, particularly Amber who was incredibly helpful, and the other guests were friendly and welcoming too. The surrounding area on the little island is well worth a visit and has good walks, beaches and things to do. We certainly felt we were living the high life there and it was a perfect escape from the City. We have been returning over several years and will certainly continue to do so.

We booked a table for 12 to dine for a Boxing Day celebration and some of the group had rooms booked to stay the night too. |Check-in was smooth, our room was lovely, very large with ample storage space and walk-in shower.|We pre-ordered 3 courses from a varied set menu from curry and burgers to a traditional Christmas dinner and a classic Sunday roast. |The whole group was impressed with their choices and the portions were very generous. The team working in the restaurant were friendly and attentive. |Breakfast had all the usual hot and cold selections available, although we asked for poached eggs, the lovely waitress was happy to accommodate this request and they |were cooked perfectly.|We used the pool, sauna and steam room the following morning before check out. Overall, great venue for a family get together and short break to help relax and destress after the big day.

Firstly I have to say the staff were amazing great service and attitude. Swapped my room with no fuss as I don't walk so well these days. Food and service was excellent. Room was fine with a Dysan heater that was far better than a radiator. Stayed two nights for Meetings and would return no question.

A lovely afternoon having lunch with Santa at Langstone Quays on Sunday.
The food was absolutely lovely, full plate and so tasty. The service, friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Santa was absolutely amazing with family and children. He spent so much time with the little one gaining her confidence. Lots of photos and conversations about Mrs Claws and the reindeer 🫠
The manager was kind friendly and checked we were happy.
Couldn't fault this event and highly recommend this for a family with children. Lovely calm atmosphere.

Not good…….There is no hot water or working showers in the changing rooms, it’s been like this for over a week, taps in sinks are broken. Changing rooms are cold. About 50% of the locker locks don’t work. Because no one showers before they get in the pool as the showers are not working, there is now a tide line of human oil & scum on the inside of the pool. People jump into the pool after being in the sauna, without showering because the signage telling you to shower is no where near the sauna. Jacuzzi hasn’t worked for over 3 months.

I did speak to reception about the lack of hot water and people not showering. I suggested signage near the sauna and was told the owner ( who I’m now guessing is you) doesn’t like signs.

One of the problems is the signs are in the wrong place! You don’t need more signs, you need signs that people read whilst they are sitting in the sauna, before they jump into the pool dripping in sweat.

Such a shame, it could be a great experience but it’s not.

Are the hot showers now working in the changing rooms yet?

I went back to the pool today and someone has listened. And there are now signs in the sauna asking you to shower before jumping in the pool. The showers are now working in the changing rooms too.

Ask any gym member, they are all willing to share their ideas and together at low cost, we could make the experience so much better.

Once walking in we thought it’d be a good hotel experience, nice looking bar and friendly enough staff but once we headed to our room we were greeted with multiple pubic hairs on the bed and in the bath, large coffee stains on floor, dirty shower curtain with what we could only assume as bodily fluid stains on the throw of the bed with a slight public toilet like smell in the air of our room. ||We decided we weren’t going to stay the night here and headed back down to reception to check out and complain, staff spoke to the manager who we never had the chance to speak to and was told that if we really wanted to receive a refund we’d have to completely enquire only with booking.com. Booking.com sent a report email to the hotel and we were advised to head back in and pursue the staff if they had received it, they say they hadn’t but we believe they had and didn’t want to admit this. We are currently awaiting 48 hours for our refund which we hopefully receive. ||Having seen our room we were highly put off making use of the pool facilities.

A very very comfortable night's stay at Langstone Quays resort .I was worried it would be a little dated, but what a surprise! Room and bathroom had obviously been decorated recently and a small dyson fan had the room cosy in minutes!|We hadn't booked for dinner, but decided to go at the last minute. Crystal in the restaurant was so lovely and knowledgeable about the menu ( and Gins!) and chef Clive made my husband a special pork free sauce for his steak, the food was amazing!|Will definitely stay here again!

Staff at the reception desk are welcoming, friendly and amazing on arrival. The bar is well stocked, the food is fine dining, breakfast delicious and plentiful. Leisure complex is a bonus and the price for our 2 night stay was great value compared to other hotels in Hampshire. We'd always recommend and return!
