Lovely comfortable stay at langtry manor, staff are friendly and warm, the decor is beautiful. Only disappointment was the bar has been closed and there is no dining room anymore however their sister hotel 'The Derby' is opposite where guests can get a drink, have breakfast or meal. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from and cooked fresh. We'll surely be back. X

There's something about Langtry's that warms your heart. This was our second stay and have to say we enjoyed it as much as if not more than our first time. We stayed in the kings suite and were amazed at the size and presentation of the room. From the 4 post massive bed to the original feature fireplace and fittings everything was just right. If you're looking for a period hotel this is great

Booked a couple of nights to get away from building work at home.
The room is not quite as good as the photos on the website.
The headboard and white chairs both had stains on them. The windows were dirty.
The room only had roller blinds & windows didn't open very much.
The table lamps were rusty.
The positive was nice and big room.
Other guests were quiet .
The staff were all lovely. The rooms are only serviced after 3 nights.
NO FOOD AT THE HOTEL & BREAKFAST IS SERVED AT DERBY HOTEL just over the road.
The breakfast area, breakfast & staff were lovely ?
Hotel felt more like a rented room than a hotel.
Tea coffee kettle etc in the room.
Freeview TV.
Sorry would not recommend this hotel

Parking was free, booked in very late in the evening, reception staff came across to help me get into my room. Welcoming. The room was on the top floor, and the bathroom and shower were pretty small. But the bed was comfy, and you could open the windows, a bonus on a warm night. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Historical gem. Interesting history of Lily Langtry. |We stayed for four nights. Nothing was too much. Room was amazing (we had a suite). Staff are very helpful. Breakfast over the road, at the stunning Derby Hotel, was delicious and plentiful. We liked that our hotel also had a lounge that we could meet in, as we were with friends. Lots of chats over coffee in there. |The bed was so comfortable. Soft towels. Plenty of tea and coffee choice including decaf plus hot chocolate. Toiletries in the bathroom. They will service your room if you put the sign out. |There's not always a receptionist but that didn't bother us at all. We were very happy and would return. A gem.

From the moment we arrived and had a very warm welcome from Nicola at Reception to the day we said farewell, the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. |Nicola in particular was a joy, always pleasant, helpful and happy to chat.|Our room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable and both the wife and I slept well. Even on Sunday when the hotel was at full occupancy, it was so quiet.|Yes, you do have to walk 3 minutes to their sister hotel Derby Manor for breakfast, but the breakfast is well worth it. Besides, I've walked further to some resorts for breakfast.|A great place to stay, handy for Bournemouth and Boscombe. There are plenty of restaurants in the area to suit all tastes.|I do suggest the Indian, Eye of the Tiger, great food and pmeasant staff. We ate there twice and both meals were excellent.

We'd initially booked here to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary early as we'd stayed here before on the night of our wedding. Sadly after we arrived and found out the restaurant in the hotel is no longer there we cancelled our stay as we couldn't go into Bournemouth town (it's dangerous and horrible now). The staff were really nice and helpful and gave us a partial refund of 50% (currently still waiting for it to hit my bank account) which is understandable.
The rooms are beautiful and grand and the hotel is wonderfully historical, sadly our room also didn't have a bath; just a shower.
Long story short, the actual hotel is wonderful but it's sadly stuck on an awful road in an awful town.

Lovely looking building lots of period feature pieces and like the way the made use of small cupboard to install a shower and toliet. Negatives the place had a damp musty smell and door to the room let so much light in from landing light which stayed on all night, I'd recommend a sleeping mask if you like a dark room to sleep. Postive the staff where lovely and went out their way to help and location of hotel nice distance from the beach and centre
