In my 70's and sadly my first solo break away, but I couldn't have felt more "at home" in my surroundings at Laurel Lodge. I was given a lovely large bedroom with a huge comfortable bed, en suite shower and views to the garden. The breakfast was absolutely tasty and I found no need for another meal all day! Laurel Lodge is well-placed in Horncaste - in a quiet road just a couple of minutes from the Lincolnshire Wolds Wildlife Park. When next visiting this area, I would have no hesitation in staying here again!

Everything about it is ideal, I don't look for faults when I travel or where I stay, if they occur then I'll be diplomatic. There was nothing amiss, Brenda made the perfect host and also the most delicious breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality.

Lovely B&B, ideally placed of you are going to Cadwell Park. The host is really friendly and they have off street parking.

The bedrooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped, so great for a night's sleep.

Booked in July for family 2 adults and 1child , rang and checked every other week that booking was okay. Was told that booking was still okay and ready. Family arrived to find a single bed with a single blow up bed. The family had traveled long way and had to travel home later on. Very disappointed.

The host was very friendly and polite. The rooms were very clean and tidy and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

A beautiful room in a beautiful home. Clean, comfortable, eminently affordable. We especially appreciated the provision of open hanging space which avoided any fears of forgetting things in a close wardrobe somewhere. And the breakfast offerings were amazing.||||The welcome was businesslike, but friendly without being familiar. The location was perfect for visiting the nearby village of Lusby, Lincolnshire.||||The gravel car-park made it a bit difficult to roll suitcases when we arrived, but on leaving we were able to bring the car up to the paved area by the door.||||All in all about as good as you could hope to find in a British B&B

Couldn't have been better! The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was copious, tasty and well prepared. The welcome was business-like but friendly. And at the price we paid, the value for money was superb.

Laurel Lodge is conveniently placed in a quiet road on the edge of the village of Horncastle. It was 15 minutes away from the Lincolnshire Aviation heritage centre at East Kirkby and made a sensible overnight stop prior to attending an event there. Car Parking was off road and free. I was warmly greeted by Brenda and my breakfast was outstanding in quality and quantity! I paid a very reasonable Β£54 for bed and breakfast on Bank Holiday Sunday - good value. My twin-bedded room was quite large with tea and coffee facilities. The bed was comfortable and warm enough with sheets (rather than a duvet). The room had two chairs a wardrobe and a chest of drawers but nowhere to work at a desk. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was good free wi-fi. My only reservations are as follows:||The decor of my room was quite tired and old fashioned. The furniture, decoration and carpeting were old. Even the hair drier was very basic and low powered.||The en suite bathroom was tiny (I could only fill the kettle from the shower since the washbasin was so small) although the shower was large enough. I had only warm shower water - it never got hot. ||Finally, the hosts were a little over cautious about COVID-19. A handwritten sign in my room said 'Please sanitise your hands before coming down to breakfast' and I was asked to stagger my breakfast time to avoid meeting other guests. (In reality, I did meet other guests and it was of course fine). I felt such caution was unnecessary. I am not at all casual about COVID-19 but these restrictions seemed a bit pointless to me. ||However, I hate to write negative reviews and I must say that there is nothing wrong with Laurel Lodge. I'd stay there again and wish my hosts well as they continue their business.
