We stayed at this lovely B and B. It is situated in Hickling and within walking distance of the local pub and the Broad. It is a wonderful property set in beautiful gardens. The room we were in was very clean and nicely decorated. Ian and Lyn were fabulous hosts and looked after us very well and provided a delicious breakfast. We felt relaxed from the minute we got there till the minute we left. The property is a short 10 minute drive from Sea Palling Beach where we spotted seals! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend Lawson Cottage,|Suzy and Alex

Just back from a fabulous 2 night stay. It was absolutely fantastic. The attention to detail was amazing. The accommodation was scrupulously clean and nothing had been overlooked. We stayed in The Boathouse which was a twin room with its own front door and fabulous bathroom with a shower.|The grounds are lovely with lots of seating areas. The breakfast was lovely and on a fine day it can be eaten outside in the gardens.|We have stayed in many places all over the world and this rates as one of the best.|Ian & Lyn are lovely hosts and have got it ‘just right’. See you next month for a return visit that we are so looking forward to.

A truly lovely B&B in a pretty little village that also boasts a good pub a 2 minute walk away (I'd recommend taking a torch if you go in the evening though!). Ian and Lynne are friendly and helpful hosts. My room was spacious, very clean, very comfortable and tastefully decorated with fabulous en-suite facilities. There is also a large well tended garden and car parking. Breakfast was excellent, with a range of options. Overall, a very pleasant experience and highly recommended. 😊

Ian and Lyn are great hosts who made us feel welcome straight away. The Family suite was fabulous, much better than expected. Breakfast was excellent and a great start to the day. The location is wonderfully quiet, calm and relaxing. The garden is a nice sun trap and a lovely place to enjoy the peace and quiet. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and can’t wait to go back.

Warm and friendly , immaculate rooms and bathrooms , the entire stay was utterly fabulous ..in love with this stylish and cosy b&b, run by genuinely kind and engaging hosts.|Breakfast is not to be missed (double yolks and fresh fruit) and all needs are catered for. |Lovely location with a great pub a short walk away. Attractive garden you can sit in and the little touches like the bottles of water, and our bathroom monkey keep you smiling!

Lyn & Ian are 2 fantastic hosts, the food was excellent Overall Lawson Cottage provided us with A Fantastic Base for what will be Truly Memorable for us. This is a very nice B&B, we stayed in a lovely room that was clean, airy and had everything we needed. Lyn and Ian are helpful and friendly and know lots about the area. The Greyhound pub serving good food and real ale is a short walk away - it is busy so you would always need to book in advance. Highlights of our visit to the area were a boat trip from the NWT nature reserve on Hickling Broad also Horsey wind pump, beach and boat trip with Ross.

We stayed two nights at Lawson Cottage when we were in Norfolk recently for a wedding. Owners Lyn and Ian were friendly and helpful and the room was brilliant. As an ex-builder, Ian had built the B&B rooms himself, and I have to say that what he has done is simply superb. The rooms all lead straight out on to a beautiful relaxing garden area, and there are no stairs which would make them ideal for anyone with mobility issues. ||||Our bed was huge and comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful, and both were tastefully decorated. There were biscuits and bottles of water in our room, as well as the usual tea and coffee, and there was enough milk and tea bags for a cuppa when we arrived as well as one first thing in the morning. I wish more B&B owners would think of that as it really does make all the difference.||||I had fresh fruit and yoghurt, then smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, and my partner had the full English. Both were excellent. And the girl who served breakfast was a real character - friendly, efficient and with a great sense of humour.||||I really can't think of anything negative to say about Lawson Cottage. As near to perfect as you can get really. Thanks, Lyn & Ian. I hope we'll be back some time.
