Contrary to the other reviews we had a solid experience flying out from this airport, where security lines were easy to find from the staff's guidance! Did not take long and trays go through the conveyor belts quickly, getting around the airport areas is quick on escalators and stairs. Departure boards kept us updated for flight status, waiting areas have plenty of seating and points to charge our phones. Walkway to the flight boarding has lots of windows giving views to outside and shuttle bus took us efficiently to our flight, one problem is the Gregg's is not in the airport so be aware you need to go there pre-security.

This is the worst airport I have had visited. They book 6 or 7 outbound flights close to eachother even though this airport has proven time and time again it is incapable of handling such traffic.

This leads to hundreds of people being stuck in a snake line starting outside the building in a parking lot.

Pictured from the spot I was in line for the security. This line was going through the entire building all the way to the parking lot outside.

If you ever have a displeasure of traveling through here good luck.

The airport is currently being renovated.

However, there are very few seats, toitlets are super dirty, and wifi does not function whatsoever.

Avro lounge was absolutely horrendous. No atmosphere, no bar, no food. All they gave is a coffee machine, soda machine and water. To offer they had olives, crisps and scones. Do not pay for this lounge. Everyone was pissed off, they serve beer from a cupboard but there’s not enough staff for the capacity. In addition, it’s a dead spot for signal and the WiFi doesn’t work

It is a small airport, a bit far from Leeds. It gets crowded easily and then you have to wait for sometime.

Worst uk airport. If you can avoid it. They do not have metal detectors. Personal lies that scaners are mandatory even you can opt out. Lies about scaners and radiation. Makes a fuss if you opt out, by terrorizing people that they will be blacklisted by charters.

When you come back, they squeeze whole plane in 2 buses, then there is absolute chaoss to get inside building. Never I have seen anything like this.

No escalator. You have to be fit to climb stairs with suitcase in hand

The worst airport in Britain.
The floors and toilets are filthy, I travel frequently through here and would never describe this airport as clean.
The ceilings are oppressively low, and there is not enough seating.
The whole building is dull, dirty and grey. Do better, this is a shame on Yorkshire

Worst airport I've ever had the misfortune to use. Wheelchair assistance is a joke. On arrival the disabled passengers were left on the plane for an unacceptable amount of time while someone went for a portable lift thing. They were then abandoned again while someone went for wheelchairs. Then they were left again, while one person was left to wheel each one out. No thought of whether they were uncomfortable, in pain, or in need of a bathroom. I missed all of my connections to catch my train. On the way back it was even worse. The toilets were disgusting. Seats in the "Assisted " ( and I use the term loosely) area are too low and not at all suitable for a lot of disabled people. I was in and out of the wheelchair. The scanning area was a free for all where no one knew what was going on. Made to get out of wheelchair again. Then they were left in an area where it can only be described as where you would house your wheely bins. An absolute farce from start to finish. You could definitely take lessons from the staff at Limoges airport. Who had wheelchairs at the ready for us . We were through customs and out of the building in 15 minutes. Never again.
