Lovely hotel, great location and welcoming staff.

Room was spacious with a comfy bed and all the facilities you'd need for a short stay.

Close to lots of restaurants and bars and within good walking distance from shops etc.

Parking is a short distance away.

Would recommend and would stay again.

Parking is about 5-10 min walk which was fine. We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday. Reception staff was very welcoming and helpful. Room was a double on 2nd floor so we had the opportunity to look at some of the historical photographs on the way. Not the most spacious of rooms and we overlooked the road at the front of the hotel but it wasn’t overly busy so not an issue. Bathroom was lovely and the complimentary toiletries were wonderful. Bed was extremely comfortable but could do with a new mattress as there was a definite dip in the middle! Could do with some more coffee sachets (there were 2) but seriously impressed that the hairdryer provided was a ‘proper’ one and not one of those fixed in the bathroom. We didn’t eat at the hotel so unable to comment on the food but would highly recommend visiting the bar and trying the cocktails. All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming but the barman was an absolute credit to the hotel, failed to get his name but a lovely French gentleman, who was extremely knowledgeable and made the end of our evening with his conversation (and liqueurs!). If I ever need to stay in Sheffield again this hotel will definitely be my first choice

A good hotel and very friendly reception team. The bar staff are great too. The breakfast team is a little frosty ( no pun intended). The schlep to the car park is off-putting, but the central situation of the hotel is great. The breakfast food is excellent. The bar prices are outrageous, but I guess all hotels are?

We stayed the night before and the night of our wedding! The team were so amazing. They looked after us, they wished us well and we were very well looked after. The mezzanine room was fantastic provided to much space to get ready. Breakfast on both days was really good. The coffee machine was a great touch allowing you to have what you want. Espresso machines in the rooms. They even made live heart swabs at the bottom of the bed while we’re were T the wedding to come home too!

All in all guys you absolutely nailed it and we can’t thank you enough for helping make our wedding perfect ❤️

Was sharing a twin room with a workmate for a work trip. The room size was not adequate for twin sharing. We had to move chairs around to be able to open our suitcases without completely blocking the way around the beds. The twin beds were right next to each other with no space in between - very strange. Otherwise the room was great. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, iron, hair dryer, fridge, safe, good wifi, and tea/coffee making facilities. Location was good for the city hall and shops and restaurants. About 15 mins walk with some uphill walking from the train station, which was a little tough with a suitcase. Staff were friendly and breakfast had a great selection.

Hotel is very clean. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Validating the parking ticket for £15 per night is great. It's in a great location right close to city centre close to lots of great eateries and bars. Would recommend!

No parking, book online beforehand for a better rate than the hotel offer, we paid £23 for 3 days, not the £45 the hotel offered us. Rooms are good and a good size, great shower and bathroom, however the wall of 162 was chipped away where people had turned the mirror. No ideas if what to do in the local area from reception or in the room. Breakfast was very good. We got a £5 per day voucher for not having room service to spend in the bar, but getting a small luke warm cappuccino and a pot of tea used up our £10, which we weren't happy about, wouldn't recommend the bar area, very overpriced. Overall a good stay but little things let it down

Nice clean rooms but spoilt by poor design of air conditioning vents which allows music and conversation from other people's rooms to be piped straight into yours. This went on until 4am despite contacting reception. Rooms are not cheap so expect better. Sadly I don't think I'll be staying there again next year.
