An awesome visit. |Started with a toilet stop and coffee at the art gallery location. Bought a Port Sunlight map that included a route to take and a narrative of the stop points on the way. This was fascinating.||Had a beer at the Pt. Sunlight local as a rest stop.||At the end of our walking tour we visited the art gallery, at no charge. Very impressed with the artefacts and the gallereys' history.||Finalised with an ice cream. |Good day had by all

As a business traveller I value a quiet location with an environment that helps me feel rested. The LeverHulme is exactly that. It is classy & packed with character. Don’t expect a gym, you have charming surroundings to explore. But DO expect unparalleled Art Deco features and lounges reminiscent of the 1920’s. The food and service is unmatched on the Wirral. Well done to all Mark and the Staff!

Surrounded by the Port Sunlight village the hotel is lovely. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were freshly prepared with a range of continental and cooked options. The evening meal choices were excellent and paired with some very good wines. There is a station close by that gives direct access to the centre of Liverpool for shopping and sightseeing if desired. I would highly recommend the hotel.

We had a full week of accommodation and meeting on site. The team at Contessa Hotels from Hillbark Hotel & Spa & Leverhulme could not be more accommodating and helpful. Amanda and the rest of the team definitely went way out their way to please and make sure the week went smoothly, definitely taking pressure off the company organiser. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They arranged after dinner events which were a real success the delegates are still talking about! At some point it was suggested that we could do with a carpet on our meeting room.... Amanda made it magically appeared overnight! Could not fault them! Highly recommend the venue, location and the team there.

Attended a wedding party here back in October 2021 with my partner and some of his family. It was a cousin of my partners family’s wedding and everything was lovely the building is lovely and everyone had a good time. Bar staff were great the only downside was it’d have been nice to have the option of booking a room to stay over but rooms were not being booked at the time not sure if that’s now changed. We had to stay down the road at the nearest hotel!

This is a long story. Two and half years ago we were invited to a wedding to be held at Port Sunlight. Of course we'll be there and booked the Leverhulme which looked great the sister hotel of Hillbark also on the Wirral. Needless to say the world changed in that time and we cancelled and re-booked and they cancelled - a covid problem - of course. In all I think we re-arranged 5 times and eventually we made it. The hotel is the old Hospital of Port Sunlight but it has been amazingly well refurbished. The layout is excellent and the facilities amazing including the ballroom. We were royally taken care of considering we were almost the only guests (part from the bride and bridesmaids.) We were warmly greeted (by 'Cherry') and taken to our suite in the Coach House which has been interestingly designed in an art deco style. John showed where to park the car. He was there to greet us in the evening at the bar before dining in the Riviera room. A menu was produced for us and indeed although there were limited choices - that was fine. The cooking and presentation was very good and the chef 'Emily' came out and we had a fascinating chat. I predict she will have a great culinary career. My wife who is an expert in such matters said her hand made Brownies were the best she has ever tasted and she's eaten in some of the best patisseries in the world! Room service was 24/7 and at 7am the next morning 'Tom' brought tea - beautifully presented as was breakfast - to our choice! Tom's catch phrase 'you're very welcome' was very welcomed! Our second post wedding meal was presented by Jake and cooked again by Emily by which we began to understand how Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall feel ty Highgrove! We couldn't thank everyone enough for their attentiveness in these unusual circumstances. We would like to wish the Leverhulme a great future as it deserves some great events that it certainly can accommodate with ease - I feel a whole movie coming on! This is my longest review EVER.

A pleasant environment, rooms do not have coffee making facilities nor do they have fridges. Spacious grounds in a wonderful village with a fabulous a art gallery. Quiet but understaffed, Reception is not always manned, there are very good members of staff who understand their customers (like Joshua who made dinning a real pleasure), others when asked things either never came back with an answer or did not know.

The food was excellent, well presented, wine list was reasonable. Other drinks were fine. As a venue for weddings, etc it works well
