Lovely place in the middle of the countryside. Very peaceful. Everything is well looked after and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food is served in a cafeteria style and was tasty, plentiful and hot. We attended a corporate day event so didn't see bedrooms. The public rooms were all excellent and well looked after

We had a pleasant 2 night stay. The positives were that the room was spacious and clean with some lovely views of the gardens. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. ||The staff - some are very lovely and helpful, but there were a few that I think may need a bit of retraining. Especially in the bar in the main hotel. Other than that, it would probably return if in the area again.

2nd stay at Lilleshall Hall National Sports Centre. We stayed in a Kent room which is not in the main Hall. The room was Premier Inn style & very clean, everything you need for an overnight stay & the views from our window were stunning of the grounds. The bed was very comfortable & although a hot day the room was very cool. Many great photos on the walls of past Footballers that have trained there & also of athletes, including the 1966 World Cup squad.
The buffet style breakfast was outstanding & included in the price. . A selection of hot food, berries, cereals, fresh berries, yogurts, croissants, toast, crumpets, jams, fresh juices, hot drinks … I could go on. The breakfast area was in the main old Hall itself. Lovely large room with magnificent views of the grounds which you can walk around at your leisure at any time. The reception area has a cafe, sofa seating area & 2 tv’s on.
All the staff were very friendly & helpful.
We can’t fault it & have booked again for this month.

Let's start with the positives - the biggest plus was the gentleman working on reception when we arrived. He made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room (called Caroline) was beautiful and had an amazing view of the gardens. The whole building had an air of grandeur. However, the biggest negative was that the room was absolutely freezing. Even when we reported this, we were told that the heating was not put on until guests arrived in the room. Sadly, even with heating it never warmed up, making for an uncomfortable night. A few other hiccups with evening meal order and coffee. Breakfast and checking out were somewhat impersonal - no member of staff at reception to speak to, except by phone. It just didn't feel welcoming, unlike the lovely greeting on arrival. This is a beautiful setting, and could be a five star experience, but there is work to be done.

Booked it last minute and wasn't expecting much considering how cheap it was but i was very pleasantly suprised. Good rooms, great bed, beautiful location and the breakfast was superb. By far the best value around. Will be staying there again.

Rooms in the main building where we stayed for 3 nights are large. The decor is a mix of modern and old, which suits the rest of the accommodation. The grounds are fantastic and well maintained. Lots of walking areas. Location is not well enough signed posted for coach transport lots of narrow lanes in and out.

I stayed here Saturday night with a friend and another friend booked a room here too. We just used it as an overnight stay whilst visiting friends who live in the area. Both us and our friend were met with the same unfriendly and abrupt receptionist and shared similar experiences. We were told that check out was 9.30am, even on a Sunday. My friend was about to ask if it’s possible to check out later, but didn’t even get half way through the sentence before the receptionist rudely interrupted and said a very definite NO! Our rooms were in Kent building, our room was on the middle floor & was actually ok. It was smallish, bug reminded us of a travelodge. The bed was comfy and it had tea/coffee, tv and towels. The bedding did smell awful of dampness, like it hadn’t dried properly before being put away. But the room was very clean and the bathroom was modern. For the £56 it cost we thought it was fine, especially as it included breakfast. Our friend’s room on the bottom floor was damp, mouldy and he wasn’t impressed at all. Our room had a large window overlooking the gardens which were lovely. The walls were very thin and we could hear conversations in other rooms. We had to put ear plugs in due to the man in the next room snoring. It sounded like he was in our room.||Breakfast finished at 10am, it was self service. Sausages, beans, eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, croissants, fruit, cereals, cheese, ham and bread. There were hot drinks and fruit juices. It was definitely okay for the price we paid. It was in the main old looking building. We enjoyed our stay, but probably wouldn’t stay again due to the very early check out time, the unfriendly receptionist and the thin walls making the rooms noisy.
