We had a great lunch in this enterprise which provides work for people with learning difficulties and also donates food and drinks to local street homeless people. We all enjoyed our meal. The vegetarian rice bowl and the sausage sandwich were especially good. The salads were tasty, healthy, well-presented with eggs cooked to perfection! Great tea, coffee and lovely moist lemon cake too. 5 stars!

We had the chicken and cauliflower rice bowl – both were delicious. The strawberry milkshake, however, was a bit too milky with only a slight hint of strawberry; perhaps the ratio of strawberries to milk could be adjusted. We visited the restaurant primarily to support the good cause, and it’s always heartening to see efforts that help improve someone’s employability.

Lily’s Social Kitchen is a fantastic café with a wonderful mission. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is absolutely lovely. We had a delicious veggie breakfast, which was beautifully presented and full of flavor. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the food and the customer experience. Beyond that, the café’s commitment to inclusivity and providing opportunities for people with learning disabilities makes it an even more special place. A truly inspiring project and a must-visit in Canterbury!

Oliver and Sophie provided excellent friendly service as we enjoyed their full English breakfast. The food was freshly cooked and full of flavour. Fresh high quality ingredients were used in their meals. They also substituted certain items to acconodate our dietery preferences without any hassle. We would also recommend their Dirty Chai Latte. A rare establishment in the UK that makes it this well.

We thoroughly enjoyed lunch at this very special cafe in the heart of Canterbury. Housed in a lovely old building which had been a pub for centuries, Lily’s is now a busy, thriving social enterprise, serving delicious food and drink.
Impeccable service, attractive decor and vibrant atmosphere all contributed to a great lunch. Will be back soon.

What a lovely place to visit in Canterbury, just a few steps of the main street you will find this gem. They serve nice coffees and teas. They also have several homemade cakes, sandwiches etc. My favourite is the cherry bakewell tart. The staff is wonderful and hospitable. Also they have a social cause to help people, which I really like, besides the nice food and staff. Well worth the visit!

An amazing social enterprise in the back street of Canterbury, lovely food, pay what you think it is worth and the money goes to charity. The staff are awesome and get chances they may not get elsewhere. Love it all !
