Stayed overnight as attending an anniversary celebration 10 minutes up the road. The guest house is easy to find and the grounds are lovely. Jill welcomed us with a big smile and was friendly and welcoming as she showed us round her very quirky home. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds very comfy. The duvet almost came back home with us! There were 5 of us so we had the whole place to ourselves so very private. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, couldn't have asked for a better start to the day. Jill was the perfect host, very friendly but not intrusive. Thank You Jill.

Jill was the perfect hostess at this beautiful old historic building with a fabulous antique dining room where the ample and delicious breakfast is served. I came in search of my family history and discovered a delightful little village full of history and friendly locals, with lots of picturesque surrounding countryside. Lincoln is a comfortable drive away and a really interesting day out. The B&B's garden is really pretty and a lovely place to sit and enjoy a wine in the summer twilight. Thanks for a lovely and relaxing stay Jill!

We spent two nights here and we were definitely impressed. From arrival onwards Jill is on top of things and a hands on owner. Excellent rapport and very easy to get on with. ||||Apparently it was originally a farmhouse with attached barn which is now the guest house accommodation and it has a separate entrance to the main house. A definite plus for all concerned. Very olde worlde and a nice change from the usual modern hotel room. Two possible bedrooms. One is a double bedroom with an adjacent smaller room and the other one is also a double bedroom but with a larger bed. No worries about adequate power sockets and, as is expected nowadays, free wi-fi. ||||Being the only ones staying for those two nights we were offered a choice of bedroom and chose the first option but as a couple you would be happy with either and also because we were the only ones we were the only users of the very large and well appointed bathroom. As it was warm we had the bedroom window open but it was quiet and we weren't disturbed. ||||At this point I should mention the only two possible drawbacks. The stairs are in keeping with the building which means they are narrow and steep and would present a problem to anyone who is not too good on their legs. The shared bathroom would be fine unless the guest in the other room is "difficult." One of us had a bath and the other used the shower. No complaints about either and the water was hot. Came back at the end of the day and were surprised to discover that all the towels had been changed after using them only once. ||||The dining room has a period feel, definitely not your usual setting, and the breakfast is what you would want to receive. Outside the garden is very private and separated from the road by a high stone wall and wooden gates. We didn't have the time but it would have been nice to sit in the garden enjoying the sunshine and serenity. Car parking on the premises is also not a problem. ||||Altogether excellent value for money.

Four of us stayed two nights. Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Lovely big bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful, good selection of food and the cooked breakfast was yummy. Jill was a brilliant hostess and even helped me iron my husbands shirt -which went beyond what I expect from a B and B. Thank you, we had a lovely stay and will stay again if we come back to the area.

My stay at Lime House cannot be faulted; my room was warm and comfortable, my breakfast was excellent and Jill Slater could not do enough for me to make my stay perfect, going way beyond the call of duty to ensure my comfort. She even drove me to the train station on my departure. I have stayed here twice now and when visiting family in the area, will certainly stay here again. Also the house is interesting and quirky; each time I returned to base, I noticed something different. Well done Jill!

We highly recommend this lovely, clean, cheerful and quirkily cute cottage with lovely gardens (and a lovely hostess!) Our family hired both rooms whilst we were here visiting friends. We feel thoroughly spoilt rotten - and just a bit sad to be leaving so soon. Thanks for your thoughtfulness, Jill - and the lavish breakfast to keep us going!

Myself and my husband have just spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed our stay Jill was fab the perfect host.... As we were the only guests we had the choice of rooms we opted for the double which had a separate sitting area /dressing area , there is a seperate entrance at the side which is so private to be Honest you would think that your there on your own as You can come and go as you please however if you need anything Jill was on hand Very well looked after during our stay .... The small village area is only a short stroll away where there is a local pub an Indian and the usual other shops. We stayed as we was visiting Blyton driving centre which is very close by .... We would happily return ... Thank you Jill x
