Stayed with our campervan for 3 nights this month (Sept 2024). We had a level hard standing close to the shower block on the upper field (Hill View), with a lovely view of the viaduct.
The facilities were excellent and the toilet and shower block was always lovely and warm, with music softly playing in the background. I was particularly pleased that a hairdryer was available to use completely free of charge.
The site was lovely and peaceful and we will certainly be back. Beautiful location!

Liked: We stayed in a pod as the weather can be changeable in the Peak District and I was right to - kept us safe and dry while a big storm passed over one night. Staying in a pod was great with the little ones as we didn’t have to keep them entertained while we tried to put up a tent. There’s a little park and you can see this from the pod - toilets and showers are not far either. Toilets and showers were in excellent condition. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating whether it be with helping out with laundry queries or helping us to jump start the car when we had a flat battery! Buxton town centre is a 20-30 min walk away so it’s an ideal location. We got a click and collect order from Morrisons down the rd so that was ready for us when we arrived. Everyone was quiet and respectful - the campsite was quiet by 9pm every night. Perfect for families/ couples.

Disliked: Nothing! Would visit again. The slope up to the pod was a little slippery with moss so go carefully.

Liked: What a great camp site! We stayed on the camp site with no electric hook up, the first time we done camping with no electricity but it was great, the kids loved it ?
The toilets and showers were so clean and warm, which was a nice surprise!
There was cows on the field facing us which made it feel more like we was in the great outdoors (surprisingly no smell of cow poo).
Nice places to go for walks near by too!
Would definitely come back here again ?

Disliked: The ground was on a little bit of a slant but wasn’t to bad

Liked: Stayed here for two nights with my son so we could do two mammoth cycles in Peak District. Excellent location with nearby Aldi and easy access into the remote Peaks. We were non electric camping so got to position on one of the nice terraces. I like that you have free choice where to pitch which meant we sussed out an area sufficiently peaceful for us. Toilet block is very new and clean, the shower water could be a bit warmer ideally. We had a game of pool in the games room for 50p which was good. Very friendly welcome. Not sure on walking without the need for a car but there is a bridleway I saw being used from the back of the farm shop on site.

Liked: The toilets and showers were spotless, the site was really clean and well maintained. The facilities were an added bonus and our little one really enjoyed the play area. The views are fabulous.

Disliked: Very sloping hill for the camping. There were a few flatter spots but those were all taken when we arrived.

Liked: Terrace pitches. Exceptionally clean toilet and shower blocks. Hot showers! Lovely playground for children. Site was very peaceful whilst also being perfect for families with young children. The perfect base for exploring the Peak District. Shop, laundry room, small games room and farm shop on site.

Disliked: Pitchup states 10am to checkout so a relatively early start for nothing after being advised it’s actually 12 o clock check out.

Liked: Very nice and cosy camping pod. It was super clean and had everything we needed for the weekend stay. The toilets and showers were clean to a very high standard.
Family friendly place. Nice shop and game room right by the reception. They also had a washing room , which we didn't use as only stayed 3 days. But very useful if you're going for longer.
Would highly recommend and definitely will be coming back

Disliked: Can not sat anything bad about that place. Everything was perfect .

Liked: Stayed here for the weekend, camping on a non electric pitch and we had a great time. It was in a good location as it was within walking distance from Buxton and is a great place to stay if you are wanting to do some walking in the peak district. The shower block was spotless and the water remained warm throughout. They even had a hairdryer to use free of charge. Plenty of sinks available to do your washing up and there is small shop onsite. There is also a great park for the little ones. Staff were really friendly and helpful, will definitely visit again.

Disliked: Campsite was slopped but there were sections you could pitch before the main field that were level.
