I have just arrived back home after staying at this hotel in a single room. I loved my little room. It was so comfy. Lovely renovated and decorated. The bed was really comfortable. Hotel is in a great location. 5-10 minutes walk to Victoria station and within walking distance to Soho.|Breakfast is not included. While this is ok for me, it would be good if there was free tea/coffee machine in the main entry area for guests. |I would definately stay again.

The location is excellent, within a short walk of Victoria Station as well as three tube stops (Sloan Square, Victoria, and Victoria Coach). The surrounding area is also very pleasant and there are several wonderful restaurants within an easy walk. Our room was quite small but it was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom, while tight on space, is very functional. The adjacent restaurant, The Buttery, serves a nice breakfast (not included in your room fee) but you can also grab a nice breakfast across the street or next door at Ganymede. And there is a cute shop, Peggy Porschen Cakes, for tea and cakes kitty-corner from the hotel. However, there is no air conditioning in the the hotel and while there was a small portable fan in the closet, it was unbearably hot in our room the entire week we were there. Opening the window made little difference. Because of the heat, the small size of our room, and the fact that there was no other place in the hotel to go to relax (The Buttery has a garden but that is open to the public and typically very busy), the hotel ended up being a place to sleep and nothing else. Also, as everyone else has noted, there is no elevator. We were in Room 26 on the top floor overlooking the street and that last flight of stairs is quite steep and narrow, making it a challenge (and a risk) when bringing luggage up or down. The staff was pleasant but other than checking us in, calling us a cab or making a reservation for us at The Buttery, we didn't interact much with them. While I love quirky hotels and am perfectly fine with small rooms, I will have to think twice about coming back here for another stay during the summer months, particularly given the cost of the room.

Five years ago, my sister and I had a lovely stay at the Lime Tree Hotel in Belgravia, London - great location, service, and breakfast - so we were eager to stay there again during our visit to London this past June. We reserved a “Comfy Twin” room for a four-night stay 10 months in advance. About 2 weeks before our arrival in London, we confirmed the reservation and were told by email “your Comfy Twin Room will be ready when you arrive on June 2.” As we had expected, my sister’s credit card was charged for the entire stay on June 1. When we arrived on June 2, however, we were shown to a room that had one queen-size bed. When we objected and referred to the May 14 confirmation, we were told no twin room was available. Eventually, we learned our twin room “was given to last-minute guests on May 31” and so we were reassigned to a room we hadn’t reserved the day before the credit card was charged in full. In other words, the switch had been made before the credit card was charged, and we were not notified. There were no other last-minute options in the area, so we spent two nights in a room we didn’t want and then were able to move to a twin room for two nights. We asked repeatedly to speak to the manager because the staff told us the manager had made the decision to change our room without notice. We were told he was out of the country and unavailable to his staff or guests by phone or email. The staff was very apologetic throughout this ordeal, and let us know that the manager said we would receive a refund for one night. This seemed inadequate under the circumstances (last minute, no good reason given, no notice, card charged), but when we asked to discuss this with the manager, we were told, again, that he was unavailable. After we left London, we received an email message from the manager conveying apologies and saying he would look into to the situation and get back to us. He didn’t get back to us. Between our first stay at the Lime Tree and our second, the hotel was sold and is under new management, new management that clearly doesn’t have the commitment to professionalism and customer service exhibited by their predecessors.||Sadly, we will not be returning to the Lime Tree.

This is an ideal location . Lots of restaurants, shops and locals. We stayed 8 nights and loved every minute. Rooms are excellent and made up within an hour of us going to breakfast. Staff at front desk are extremely friendly and courteous, answer questions and help with taxis or car service to airport. Beautiful location and clear of tourists ( like myself ?) in late afternoons and evenings. Would return in a minute.

Stayed at the Lime Tree in early June 2024 for four nights. |You simply cannot beat this location. A short walk from Victoria Tube Station and Chelsea. Right at the gorgeous Elizabeth Street, with its awesome shops and restaurants. I’ve stayed in several hotels in London and again, this location was just spectacular. |I’d read several reviews on the hotel before booking. I’d agree with most. The room (generous double) was clean, and small but well appointed. Windows open which is great. The bed was a queen and the mattress very hard - almost uncomfortably so. The bathroom was very, very small. The young lady (from Ireland) present when we checked in and most evenings was wonderful - super friendly and helpful. She was by far the friendliest staff member we encountered and is a huge asset to this hotel. |We had one complaint that I’m sure has been rectified and that is that the cleaners placed clean towels on the (carpeted) hallway floor before servicing the room. We were quite taken aback by this and advised desk staff who said they would address this. |In summary, the hotel is a really good option in a fabulous neighborhood. Our last hotel in London prior to the Lime Tree was the Pan Pacific. Very hard to compare the two - really apples to oranges - but the room size, amenities and the service at the Pan Pacific were far superior. All depends on what you are looking for and perhaps your length of stay. Lime tree is a great option to rest your head after a busy day of touring. We’d go back to the Lime Tree Hotel, but again the draw would be mainly the neighbourhood.

As a long time Lime Tree guest it's still a pleasure to return to such a friendly, comfortable well managed hotel each year. The rooms, the restaurant and the staff are all amazing. The garden attached to the hotel and the restaurant in the back is a special treat as well as the menu selections, a little Shangri-La. ||I look forward to returning again next year.

We loved the Lime Tree Hotel! It was comfortable, charming, and everyone was so nice who worked there! We had a delicious breakfast at the buttery every day. Make sure to make a reservation! Tara, Eli and everyone at the front desk went above and beyond! We highly recommend!

Lovely friendly place. Greet location, Dill on reception is very helpful and made us feel welcome. Recommend for families, nice outdoor area, next door to a fantastic pub called the Ganymead and very close to lots of great restaurants and shops.
