A great place to stay while walking Hadrian’s Wall. We had a very comfortable bedroom with an impressive en-suite bathroom and lovely view. Part of the fantastic breakfast was freshly laid eggs by their own hens. We definitely recommend for staying in the area.

I actually stayed here in 2013. What a great place. Even after 11 years i still think often of this fabulous place with its wonderful host, Dick Moules. He gave us a great insight on village life and the wildlife surrounding them. Including their doves often being caught by the falcon. A highlight when we walked Hadrian's wall. Dog friendly too!|The bed was most comfortable the breakfast excellent

We were booked here after the fifth day of our Hadrian’s Path walk from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend in Newcastle. The B+B is 15 minutes from the the path, a little far but worth the detour. The friendly owner Sue greeted us on arrival and showed us to our rooms in a very elegant building in a the quiet village of Humshaugh. The large and nicely presented and clean with a very large comfortable bed . The very quiet room overlooked the gardens the spacious en-suite bathroom had a shower and large bath. We had supper at the Crown pub just 5 mins away as the b+b does not do evening meals. The breakfast was very good with a good variety including a large selection of fruits and yoghurts. Packed lunches are not available but if you are walking east as we were, there is a nice cafe at Port Gate about 3.5 hours away. Check-in is 4pm.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful house on our walk of Hadrian's Wall. Fantastic bedroom and bathroom and just a stone's throw from the pub for an evening meal. The lovely village shop was also a few doors away and we got our lunch from here the next day. Thank you Susan 🙂

An amazing home in a lovely village close to Hadrian's wall. Sue is a fantastic host. Attentive but not obtrusive. Gorgeous bedroom with private sitting room. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Would certainly recommend.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Linden House last week. We were made to feel most welcome and enjoyed the large bedroom, with lovely views and magnificent bathroom. Very well located for the Hadrian's Wall path and very close to The Crown Inn, with its quirky collection of motor vehicles and good food.

Our own private sitting room along with the bedroom! Breakfast in the dining room was quiet and perfectly done. (Little known fact: crumpled newspaper in boots wicks away inner moisture, so our boots were ready for the next day! Thank you for the suggestion and newspaper, Linden House.)
