Lovely hotel well situated in Worksop and an excellent base for visiting the Welbeck Estate which was the reason for my visit. My room was beautifully clean and very welcoming with great facilities - frankly it felt quite luxurious. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves good food - it's not fine cuisine, but it's very good pub food and I enjoyed my dinner. Parking was easy although I'm not sure what happens if the hotel is full, although there is paid parking right in front of the hotel so it won't be a complete disaster if the hotel car park is full. Overall, I'll definitely stay here again when I visit the area.

Where do I start .. we have just had our wedding reception at the lion hotel ..from start to finish it was absolutely amazing .. staff were friendly.nothing too much trouble .the food was extremely good..great value .. special shout out to Cindy who helped us through our wedding arrangements.. the rooms were lovely .. comfortable.. breakfast fab .. can't fault a thing thankyou to everyone at the hotel who contributed to our special day.. highly recommend

Nice room albeit a bit pricey for the surrounding area. Initial receptionist wasn't at all friendly or welcoming although the second one, who checked us in was. Didn't eat here, only ordered a drink.
Spacious room and bathroom, with air conditioning, which was a godsend

Had a lovely evening at the Lion Hotel hired a room for a small close family gathering rather than the restaurant and trimmed it up to make it a little more special for my parents 60th wedding anniversary. The room was set out perfectly, the 3 course Sunday menu was delicious and the service was spot on. Would definately recommend.

Wonderful stay|Staff were fantastic so friendly and helpful.|Rooms spotless.Evening meal was delicious, Chicken with Tarragon sauce,pork with red cabbage, veggie meatballs with spaghetti all very good .|Breakfast was a little disorganised due to a large wedding party but was worth the wait and very reasonable prices. The service in this hotel is faultless thank you all

Modern room, one of the best we've ever had to be honest. Saturday night £76! Free car park, lovely bar and smack in the town centre overlooking the xmas tree. Staff were lovely and everywhere was super clean. Great stay and will certainly return in the future.

Had a fabulous Christmas meal today. The food was excellent. Just like to say a big thankyou to Cindy and her team for making it special for us. The room and the table settings were lovely. All the gym ladies enjoyed it too.
