I called up to ask if they were dog friendly and was told not in the restraunt, only the lounge and bar and was advised to book which we did. On arrival to the lounge we were ushered into the bar with profuse apologies. No great issue as it was largely empty, but the lounge would have been much nicer. The food was excellent, well presented and tasty and service excellent. was the service. The food very reasonably priced too. It's a bit out the way, but as it is getting rarer to find good quality food, in a great pub, it really is worth the effort to make your way here. We has a great time and enjoyed our meal thoroughly. Highly recommended. We'll be back for sure.

We’ve been stopping at the Lion & Unicorn for years on our way to and from the Highlands – and we’re always impressed. The food and service are consistently excellent. Spotlessly clean, wonderfully cosy, with a great selection of dishes including seasonal specials – and the beer is fantastic! The staff are always friendly and attentive. Truly a place we look forward to every year – highly recommended.

We pass by this place frequently and often say we should stop for lunch. Fast forward a few months and we finally dropped in for a late lunch and was not disappointed in the slightest. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and attentive. Shall definitely be dropping in again soon

Went in for a pint after a long hike (stayed for a fair few more) and it didn't disappoint. Met a few locals and the staff were very kind. Loved the banter and we will definitely be back, with friends and family, as we felt well received. Thanks for a lovely night!

We were passing by on the way to Aberfoyle and came across this pub and so glad we did! The food was a cut above absolutely lovely food. It had a lovely ambience and staff were very nice and attentive. The whole family commented on how nice their food was. Personally my Balmoral chicken had the nicest sauce I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend a visit.

Had a great time here, food lovely and staff so friendly. Love how the veg was for the table for sharing. The pheasant pie was great. Felt so homely. Will definitely be back 🙂
