Lisnacurran has amazing rooms. So beautifully decorated, warm and lovely. Super convenient location for Belfast and getting around this part of Northern Ireland. Lynne and Jonny are the most amazing hosts and will help out with any information needed.

My children say I'm very hard to please when we stay away but I have literally nothing but good things to say about our experience. 9 of us arrived for a family celebration just when the storms had removed all electricity. Lynne and her team could have turned us away but they hired a generator, kept us stocked with logs for the fire and kept the Wifi working (which delighted the teenagers and kept us sane). Nothing was too much trouble and we had an absolutely brilliant time. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay, the rooms are excellent, we were in a family overnight with young kids, the family room was perfect, bunk bed, double bed and single bed, lots of space in the room. Very clean and cosy. Quiet area. The hosts were very helpful.

Continental breakfast next morning with some hot food. Friendly breakfast staff, warm welcome.

We had a very short stay, but they were very hospitable, checked in multiple times with us to make sure everything was perfect, and even emailed me to give me check in instructions to make everything seamless for us. Beds were comfy, and whole place was clean. Thanks again!

Host, please see below my inital review for the reply.

If you enjoy; carpet pulled from the grippers, 1000 rules plastered over every wall and argumentative hosts, this might be the place for you!

We actually enjoyed our stay. Only because we valued our experience based on family interaction other than the hospitality and abode we stayed in.

Initially, the host was initally receptive to our communication however, when we addressed the return of the deposit and leaving on a 5W LED strip light in the jacuzzi, we were ignored or welcomed with abrupt instructions on what to do next time.

I'll address the three major problems during our stay; then focus on the inconvenient items after.

Firstly, we accidentally left the LED light strip on in the hot tub area on. We were addressed by a male host the following day explaining in a condescending manor, on how to switch them off. We reiterated it was a mistake yet they wouldn't let it go. they proceeded with 'mansplanning' the operation of the switch. I actually calculated the cost of the lights being left on. It equated to £0.12p. Hopefully the £217.50 per night covered this cost.....

Secondly, the deposit and extra charges!!!. Initially, it was £375 for two nights in their converted 3 bedroom barn. I would say, slightly expensive for what you receive. However, the billing didn't stop there. We paid an additional £20 for the hot-tub, £20 per use of the hot tub, and an additional £20 for having a pet. On top of this, we paid an additional £100 deposit in which I was ignored/ disregarded 3 times before the money was sent back. (It was a simple revolut transfer back).

Lastly, the Barn is astheticallyl nice. Although it lacks in points with sagging carpet off the grippers, loose tiles in the bathroom, and a non-functional in-apt weak electric shower.

The minor inconvenience items are as follows;
Own disposal of glass waste, minimal toilet paper provided, bleached bathroom towels with stains and disgusting hot tub area. Cobwebs galore and gritty sand/dirt in the tub. (Conweb picture as follows).

I'm sure the host will reply with an argumentative reply as per the other negative reviews. However, as a current business owner myself, this is not how you should acknowledge feedback AND definitely not worth what you pay.

I'm happy to go into further detail for anyone considering a booking at the Barn, Lisnacurran privately.

There are only a number of times you can use... "You can't please everyone"quote (used by the hosts replies to previous constructive feedback), before it becomes monotonous and complacent. PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR FEEDBACK!!!!

"Confused.com?" Not very professional? My apologies for your airbnb review. It will be amended as there was CLEARLY a mix up between your accommodation and another airbnb we have visited.

Again; you're using excuses like 'the time of the year' for an excessive amount of cobwebs. I don't think so. It was categorically not clean. I didn't mention on my previous review that there was an empty echo falls bottle on the floor, glass may I add, and loose rubbish around the hut. Thank God you've taken the initiative to deep clean it.

It's not the guests duty to explain how they paid a deposit. You're the business owner, how don't you know this? Additionally, the Revolut business account was in your name!? The storm is an excuse because you didn't need to access your system. You had personally told me to use Revolut on Watsapp!

I was well aware of the costs, I just think you've missed the big picture here.... I'll leave it for the public to decide - is this worth this amount based on mine and others' negative reviews? I've wasted enough of my efforts on this. Good luck 👍

We were very impressed with our stay at Lisnacurran Country House. It's a beautiful country style b&b with unique and quirky bedrooms which are very welcoming and cosy. We booked as a group of 11 friends less than a week in advance and the storehouse was made available for us to use during the evening. The hot tub was a great hit as well! Lynne and her team provided 1st class service coming up to and during the time of our stay.

Lovely accommodation. Lovely food. Lovely people. What else to say? ||This is a great spot if you are staying in Belfast. It’s about 20 minutes out of town and handy for the park and ride. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Thank you Jonathan and Lynne for a lovely stay.
