We had a wonderful time at Little Bassett. Tamara is a wonderful host. Probably the best we found in any b&b we've been to. The place is in a nice location 2 minutes walk from the beach in a nice detached house with enough private parking space for all the guests. It is on a secondary road away from the traffic of the main road so it is nice and very quiet.
It is a 10 minute drive to the Needles and 10 minute to Yarmouth where you will find pubs, bars and restaurants looking at the sea. The room where we stayed was big, spotlessly clean, with a big and comfortable bed and a big bathroom (not usual for b&b's). The breakfast is continental (a very good continental, like 4 star hotel good) and there are plenty of choices. Tamara went the extra mile to make us comfortable: we asked for a fridge for my insulin and she put us in a room with one. My wife is lactose intolerant and asked for soya milk and Tamara had that not only for breakfast but she put a bottle in the room as well. When she find out that was my birthday and she put a little bottle of sparkling wine in my room with pretzels and confetti saying happy birthday. The last day was our anniversary and she set the table for breakfast like a Michelin star restaurant with a tablecloth, napkins, confetti, porcelain plates, a bottle of prosecco and some chocolate pralines. I have never had this treatment anywhere. I felt like at home away from home. We will definitely go back at Little Bassett.

Tamara is an amazing host. So loving and welcoming. She makes sure you have everything you need and creates a warm comfortable environment. The breakfasts are incredible you won’t leave hungry. The beach is a stones throw away for a lovely evening walk. |Thank you for a lovely weekend 🥰

Away with friends - booking was easy. |Location was easy to find, On arrival at Little Bassett we found Tamara our very accommodating friendly host, access to our room was easy, very quiet location, room was fantastic, top notch breakfast. Absolute 5 out 5.

Tamara was an amazing host, nothing was too much trouble. She went above and beyond for me and my daughter, recommended lots of lovely places to go and see. Felt very spoilt. Lovely clean and comfortable room, very spacious, light and airy. Felt like being at home very relaxed.
Breakfast was always amazing, continental breakfast croissant meats rolls anything you desire.
Beautiful beach 2 minutes away...with cafes and restaurant near by.
Close the famous needles, recommend going on the chairlift.
We will definitely be going back soon.

If you want a marvellous holiday on the IoW go to Little Bassett at Freshwater. It is 5 minutes down the cliff to the beach, which is sandy and with clear water. The room was spotless and beautifully furnished and cleaned during our 4-day stay. The overall atmosphere so friendly and welcoming and helpful, individual care taken over each set of guests . And the Continental breakfasts outstanding, just right for hot summer days, coffee or tea, a granola fresh fruit yog mixture, meat or cheese platter, rolls, fresh pastries, boiled egg. The whole experience 100% good and made our holiday.

Little Bassett has been one of the best places to stay, and I’ve stayed in many. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It’s a rare find, and 5 star in all ways.||||It’s located on a quiet street, close walking distance to the beach. It’s an ideal base for the Western end of the Isle of Wight, and the popular ‘The Hut’ restaurant, which is a 5 minute walk down to & along the beach. There are paddle boards & kayaks to hire close by, though I’d recommend taking your own beach towel, as these are not provided. ||||Tamara & Mark are very friendly & helpful & excellent at looking after you.||||There are 2 double rooms upstairs, both thoughtfully equipped & kept clean & light and well aired.||The breakfast was continental style, but excellent & plentiful. In good weather you can take it outside. ||Parking is on the drive, so no problem.

We stayed here for two nights during our walk round the Isle of Wight. The rooms were very clean and well furnished and fresh milk in the fridge was much appreciated. Breakfast was mostly continental with the exception of the offer of scrambled eggs but the cheeses and meats offered were very high quality.
