Lovely clean and welcoming hotel. Lovely breakfast. Staff are all amazing. Thank you to Alison and Janice, who have been very kind and helpful to us 💗. Beautiful, peaceful bed and breakfast with gorgeous ocean views. You can take a lovely walk on the beach with all the boats going by. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, pubs, and a park.

Just a little heads up for anyone wanting to book here. We came as a party of couples for new years eve. Firstly the hotel is very dated and has a funny smell when you walk in. Disabled toilet has this aweful smell. Ladies were not much better! The staff who were on that evening were not very helpful to our party. More bothered about talking amoung themselves. Very Over priced drinks, which the larger tasted very funny. And for the food that night well, it was aweful. Beef was so over cooked, gravy was like water with no flavour and the desert Was just slammed on the plate with a little melted squirty cream. Very disappointed as we came to the swing in to Christmas for food and was an amazing 3 course. Rooms are very dated, and cold. Only left us quarter of a toilet roll in restroom when we arrived aswell. 1 pillow which was very flat. Really don't know what went wrong. Obviously diffrent chefs can't keep up to Same standards!!! Not a good stay at all, especially the money spent from our party. Be grateful if a manager could get in touch to discuss further!

Just returned from a week end here due to cancellation in Newcastle we found this late Friday night and was accommodated with the dogs , staff was lovey and the colmans fish&chips in close proximity ! We like it and definitely would return really good walks for the dogs nice views also

We didn't stay, just popped in for lunch but it was a great decision.
Both our dishes were plentiful, there was a lot of scampi, and the curry was choc full of chicken. Everything tasted fabulous, and the chips were perfectly cooked "proper" chips.
Nice comfy seating, and a perfect spot on the sea side of the prom.
Good value too given what you get.

My brother and I have spent the last two Christmas breaks at the Little haven Hotel and booked this year because they were very enjoyable and value for money. The hotel has new owners and the standards have gone down dramatically. The biggest issue was the food it was dreadful|The Christmas eve meal: I ordered duck it clearly died of old age and even a steak knife couldn't cut it. The cheesecake was OK but difficult to go wrong with this. The main event on Christmas day again very disappointing with the main course- we ordered the turkey came piled high with everything on the plate. No choice of vegetables in a separate dish or gravy to use as much or as little as desired and a mop of green pea shoots as a garnish. Totally unnecessary. Clearly the chef/chefs are poorly trained as the food they presented was awful. Many plates appeared to go back with many leftovers. The ice cream was fine but hey!! The final nail in our Christmas breaks coffin was the Boxing day brunch. We ended up in the lounge with a plate of cold chips to share. The food quality was well below par and certainly not up to standard of previous years. I ended up walking to Greg's for a couple of pasties. I was approached by Daniel for my reasons for being somewhat disgruntled and he took copious notes to feed back to management and owners but I doubt anything will come of it or improve both service and quality judging by reviews over the last few months. I am a regular customer who calls in weekly for coffee etc. with different groups of friends and have done so for many years. The new owners clearly do not value regular customers but hey, I will not be back and it doesn't matter how many good or bad reviews this hotel gets word of mouth among locals and their many friends could soon sink a business. This time of year ie: winter months is a time when such establishments rely on local regular custom as opposed to summer trade and special events. The Littlehaven has ruined our Christmas so thanks for that.

The location of the hotel is perfect and our room was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and efficient.||The hotel is dated and could do with an upgrade.||The breakfast was disappointing and could definitely be improved. A better choice of fruit and bread would be a good start and possibly an urn so that tea is hot enough!

Christmas lunch. A very poor experience. It had been recommended to me by friends who had lunched here the past two years. However we were a bit daunted by the poor reviews after the take over.
It lived up totally to our worst expectations. The food was as poor as the service. The worst Christmas lunch experience ever. We won’t be back that’s for sure.
