First time here today with my LG
Very thankful I went, will definitely be returning.
The staff were very friendly, I felt welcome & comfortable.
The place is small for a play area, but they really have managed to fit a lot in there.
The tea & cake I had were lovely.
Good to know they have time slots, I didn't so just got the tail end of a session, she still had a good play though 👍🏻
They do ask you to leave your pram in a designated spot at the end of the room (visible). There were 2 toilets 🚻 I think, the one I used was a change and disabled friendly.
She said they do Birthdays 🎂 too

A wonderful play cafe in the middle of town. There is lots of different things for children to play with including a small soft play, catering to a wide range of ages. The selection of food and drinks is great, with really delicious cakes. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I really recommend a visit!

Brilliant little cafe, with lots of cool toys and really welcoming staff! They’ve done so well with the space they have, they have so many toys to play with my 3yr old and 1yr old both had a brilliant time!! The staff were so lovely and helpful, and the food was great - loved the weaning plate especially it’s a great idea for little ones! I personally was very happy that they offered vegan cheese toasties too.

Straight away when I walked through the door, there was a staff member to help navigate a pushchair through the space. Staff are super friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble
The environment is welcoming.,.. staged to capture the kids interest but at the same time feel calming and relaxing for parents.
On this occasion I only had a cup of tea and cake - which was ordered at the counter and they then bring it over. However, there is a lovely menu, with sandwiches, toasties, Panninis, some breakfast options, and of course a section for kids - both hot and cold choices.
There is a small fee for the kids to play of £3 if food/drink is being ordered otherwise it's slightly more.
They have even thought of encouraging food bathroom habits with stickers hung up for children to choose from once finished.
It is feeding hearts not to the baby/toddler... Possibly upto fourb but I think my overactive 5 year old would struggle to amuse himself for long
We'll definitely use again

What Steph and Gaz have recreated in Stafford is amazing
A bright and inviting play cafe with plenty to keep kids occupied.
My son absolutely loves the digger and role play section.
The food is amazing and all freshly prepared, drinks are 👌 especially the milkshakes!

And the cake selection is another level!

Highly recommended if you have kids of a preschool age and are looking for a break to take when you're shopping around Stafford

Really disappointed in this play cafe. Visited recently and was flabbergasted by the rules they have. Firstly, socks must be worn by children. I came with my 11 month old who is starting to walk, the last thing she needs is to be wearing slippy socks on a slippy soft play floor. Also, if they have done any research it’s actually more beneficial for babies not to wear socks. I can’t seem to understand (bar warts) what reasoning they have for this. But surly parents who are bringing children with warts or something of a similar nature would sock their children?

Secondly - not outside food. Sorry but being out with your children can get expensive enough trying to do different things each day. This last thing you need is to be unable to bring your childrens snacks and lunch to a soft play, I’ve not seen this anywhere else before, even the bigger chains like come into play.

Third - the fact that they charge adults extra if you don’t purchase a drink! Again with the above point, it’s expensive enough!!!

And finally, the most important concern is the windows down the side of the play area! Whist I visited there were 4+ old men peeking right against the window looking at the children. Now yes this could be harmless but I’m not so sure it was smart to leave them windows completely clear! Surely a tint could have gone on them? I felt extremely uncomfortable having old men watching my child to the point where I actually asked other parents if they knew these men looking in.. they did not.

I won’t be returning and it wasn’t all these reviews make it out to be. Very very small space especially for older children (3+)

We love the Red Fox Play cafe! It’s the perfect way to spend a couple of hours for the kids to burn off some energy. The food is excellent and all reasonably priced, the staff are lovely and the toys are clean.

Visited today with my 4 and half year old, I wasn't sure if the play area would be too small for him but he absolutely loved it, especially the digger area. The Play Cafe has been well thought out even down to having stickers in the toilet as a reward for your child using the toilet...brilliant! Lovely relaxed environment, I would definitely recommend a visit.
