Great Wooston farm was the perfect bed and breakfast. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every aspect.||||Mary and her husband were charming hosts and we were welcomed by a superb Devon cream tea on our arrival.||||The bedroom was delightfully furnished and very clean and looked over spectacular Dartmoor countryside. The breakfast was huge and couldn't have been bettered and Mary was more than willing to provide alternatives to suit. We would recommend this to all our friends. Thank you so much Mary and John.

We've stayed at Great Wooston Farm several times over the last few years and have thoroughly enjoyed all our visits there. Mary always welcomes us with tea and cake, the bedrooms are very comfortable and meticulously clean and the fantastic breakfasts keep us going all day long! It's a treat to wake up to such beautiful views each morning. A great place to stay and a good base for exploring Devon and Cornwall.

The farm is beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. Our room was spotless, with thoughtful additions. There is a lovely common room on the first floor. Since we came from the US, it was our first time driving on the left-hand side, along narrow single tracks, and still, this place was wonderful! Mary made us welcome, calmed my husband's frayed nerves, and explained how to get around the area.||Dartmoor is stunning, and location of the inn is near good restaurants and attractions.

A friend and I booked to stay here for two nights over the summer as a base for a fly fishing trip at a local reservoir. ||||We booked two rooms, one double with en-suite and a twin with a private bathroom at the end of the hall. Both rooms had everything and more than you would expect from a bed and breakfast (dilute fruit squash, great biscuits, hot chocolate etc.) especially at the very reasonable rate that is charged! Both bathrooms were very clean. ||||The hosting from Mary was second to none, we were greeted with a beautiful smile and shown to our rooms before being invited back downstairs for toasted tea cakes and a hot drink. As we wanted to be out fishing early we asked if it was possible to have breakfast half an hour earlier than the advertised breakfast times, Mary said that she would be able to rustle us up some scrambled eggs on toast at that time which was more than we had expected to be offered. When we turned up early the following morning Mary had prepared us a full English breakfast, which was full of flavour. ||||The hotel is set within beautiful countryside, with the front facing windows capturing the beautiful views. ||||If I am ever back in the area I know where I will be staying.

We rang to make our booking. ||From the off, we were made to feel very welcome and Mary went out of her way to make us feel at home. To be given a cup of tea and something to eat on arrival went down extremely well, having had some hours on the motorway. ||The loan of an OS map was extremely helpful.||We could come and go as we pleased. The room was perfectly adequate. As for the breakfasts, they were most enjoyable and completely up to the mark. The location is just so peaceful.||My wife and I have to add something about Floss who also contributed in her own little way to making our stay memorable. She is a very friendly border collie who just wants some fuss!||Obviously, from the location, there are no pubs very close by but Moretonhampstead is within an easy drive (try 'The Union' for evening meals but get there early) and the Fingle Bridge Inn on the River Teign to the North West on National Trust land. Getting there can be 'interesting' via the river crossing to the north east of the farm. ||One word of warning: the post code covers a large area and our satnav actually had us initially driving past without realising - but that just adds to the experience of being out in the countryside.||Please remember: this is a working farm; previous comments about tractor noise in the mornings and so on are very much unfair to the owners.||All in all, A very enjoyable experience.

Just to thank you for our enjoyable stay with you. We felt quite at home there and of course enjoyed the breakfast Mary put before us! We did not have to drive far before Dartmoor opened up before us and all the lovely places to visit. Thank you both again for making us welcome!||Bruce & Valerie Pike
