Old house that has been made into a B&B. Nice people are running it. Comfortable beds and an large room. All the amenities you need. The breakfast was awesome and prepared us for our hiking the west highland way. It is about 2K up from the trail but it was worth it. There is a campground nearby with an excellent restaurant for dinner. Make reservations early

Its very quiet and peaceful with great views of the loch, beds were comfortable and clean. The attic room was a bit pokey and has too much furniture. Fours sets of drawers is excessive. Biscuits in the room were stale and TV did not function well with no sound. Owner was friendly and attentive at breakfast, but food quality was not great fatty bacon and poor quality sausages.

We were booked into this accommodation by Macs, the organisers of our West Highland Way trip. The issue for us after a hard day's walk was that it was an additional 1.5 miles uphill, inland away from the route.
Phyllis and her partner made us very welcome though and the breakfast and packed lunch were lovely. Top marks to the bed though as we both went out like lights and slept beautifully. The room gets 4 stars as it is quite cramped, being filled with too much furniture you wouldn't use.

For its price, the level of comfort and service was poor. Totally not worth it, especially if you are walking the West Highland Way and want something relatively simple but confortable, this is neither. If you want something lush, go for Rowardennon Hotel or Ardlui Hotel. The beds are creaky and unsupportive, and despite the scenic exterior and location the inside has a feeling of being rundown, now fully hygenic and everyhing being old, even smelling somewhat musty, it gave me a (thankfully) mild asthmna attack. The bacon was so poorly cooked you could break your teeth on it, and its nutritional value must be close to zero. You would experience more comfort and better quality facilities at somewhere like the Ben Lomond Bunkhouse or Inversnaid Bunkhouse.

The location is remote, making no mistake, it takes a while to get to, but that's part of its charm. Well, it was for us.|Single track road for quite a long distance but through beautiful scenery.|Parking is available at the property.|Upon arrival, we were met by Phyllis, a nice warm welcome.|We registered and were shown to our room , which was a good size and nice and clean.|Phone reception is sketchy at best, and there is no tv signal, but satellite tv is available if you need it.|The only place to eat out is a nearby bunkhouse, which gets great reviews, we however ate on route prior to arrival.|Very comfy bed and a great night's sleep.|Excellent cooked breakfast in the morning.|It might not be everybody's cup of tea due to its location, but it did us great.

We had a very good time at the friendly Loch Arklet house. We would like to thank Phyllis and Chas for making our stay so pleasant and for all their service and attention. We liked their serviced scottish breakfasts.||We stayed in the Bedroom 1 (Ben Vorlich). It is as advertised, in addition to the what is picutured on their website there is a stand with the tea or coffee making necessities. ||Room was clean and our bed was made daily.||We are happy that we were advised by Chas about the amazing walk to Beinn a Choin; without it we would not dare to go there. But beware - while it just about 12+km it is not an easy one, walking boots recommended. ||For a dinner it is good to make a reservation in the bistro that is in the walking distance down the road.

We were welcomed open handed. They showed us around the house. English breakfast superb. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The hosts are very kind and interested in your journey. I would recommend for travellers of the West Highland way to have a visit.

Toilet still had excrement in.
Shower control almost on cold to get cool enough - potential safety hazard.
No hot water in sink after 5 mins.
TV hardly usable BBC no sound.
Request on morning to have breakfast bit earlier than 0800 - available from 7.30 - due good walking weather - received loud "NO" because I had booked at 8.00 - end🤷
