Beautiful cottage furnished to the highest standard with all you could possibly need to make your stay an enjoyable one. The kitchen is so well equipped and the welcome pack was lovely and Helen even left some home baking which was delicious. A comfortable bed ensured a great night's sleep, a large walk in shower with lovely thick towels. Boat of Garten is a nice little village and if you are looking for somewhere to have dinner we would recommend Andersons - fabulous steaks! We stayed in January but the garden has a table and chairs where you could sit out in summer. Perfect!

Loch cottage is very comfortable, clean and warm. The village of Boat O Garten is a great centre to enjoy all types of walking or cycling. Helen, our host, was very attentive and kept in touch during our stay to ensure all was well. All the house instructions were very clear, and so settling in was easy. I would certainly recommend this as a beautiful cottage, and we are definitely hoping to stay there again.

I don’t think many holiday cottages come at this standard of comfort, design and cleanliness. Excellent throughout. The welcome pack was very thoughtful. We had our dog with us, who also had a welcome pack! There is a wonderful communal area of woodland opposite for a quick walk. The surrounding area is a delight for walking with or without the dog. Plenty of good coffee shops to finish up in! We would certainly love to come back and highly recommend.

Loch Cottage was a wonderfully warm, welcoming and comfortable place to spend a special birthday and to bring in the new year. Everything is such good quality and the very helpful owner has thought of everything to make guests (and their dogs) feel relaxed and pampered.
Its location offers a wide variety of activities on the doorstep and we enjoyed walks, restaurants and a steam train trip, with lots still to explore on future visits.
We've stayed in many cottages over the years and can say that Loch Cottage is definitely one of our favourites - lovely village location, thoughtful modern design, very well equipped with high quality evident in every aspect - we'll be back!

A fantastic location in Boat of Garten and a cottage with everything you could want in a holiday cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bedroom is great and the bathroom has an excellent shower and stand alone bath. Arrangements were easy and the host very good. Boat of Garten is a great village to stay in and the cottage has easy access to walks, bike rides, golf, fishing and ospreys! We even managed to see an otter feeding in the Spey.

Dean and I both absolutely loved our stay at Loch Cottage. We’ve stayed in quite a few Airbnbs over the past couple of years and Helen’s place is the best by far! It had everything we needed and its location in the Boat of Garten is a perfect base to explore the surrounding areas. Helen was a fantastic host; we arrived to a bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge and a personalised welcome note on the table. She is extremely friendly and helpful and had many recommendations on local walks and things to do in the local area (maps and booklets can also be found in the yellow room). Our favourite was the Ryvoan and Lochan Uaine circuit! We enjoyed a meal out at The Boat Country Inn & Restaurant during our stay, which is a very short walk from the cottage. Thanks to the kitchen being so well equipped, we were able to fend for ourselves for the majority of our stay (which we enjoyed). The cottage has been recently renovated to an extremely high standard. It really is a home away from home; spotless with high end amenities and lovely local touches. No expense has been spared. We loved The Highland Soap Company toiletries so much so we stocked up as soon as we got home! The wood burning stove is also worth a mention, we both really enjoyed relaxing in front of the fire after a long day exploring. We hope to return soon!

Very beautiful accommodation and a very attentive host, ideal location for walking in the Cairngorms and so lovely to return to 5 star luxury after a day out in the hills. Would definitely recommend it , the hosts have catered for your need.

Cottage was equipped to a five star standard, best self catering premises I have ever encountered.
Set in a quiet location with great facilities locally for either a quiet holiday or one full of outdoor adventure.
